The second season of HBO's hit teen drama, Euphoria, may have come to a close, but fans are no less obsessed with the series than they were as the show was premiering.
Maddy is a favorite of the Euphoria cast, and many fans think her character had one of the best arcs on the show. Like her character, her style also evolved as the episodes went on and Maddy developed a truly iconic style. These outfits are truly what set her apart from others on the show.
Her Cheerleading Uniform
For starters, Maddy's cheer uniform defines her place in the high school hierarchy: she was someone everyone wanted to be or be with. It's also how she met Cassie, who would be both her best friend and greatest enemy at the same time.
Besides the symbolic meaning behind her cheer uniform, it also shows just how iconic and glamorous she makes every outfit. She took something as simple as a uniform and truly made it her own, adding an amazing rhinestone and teal makeup look and matching rhinestones in her hair.
Her Carnival Matching Set
One of the outfits that every fan was in search of was Maddy's matching cutout set that she wore when she knocked over the Jacobs family chili. The scene was a big moment for her and jumpstarted the end of her and Nate's relationship.
Maddy is definitely a D&D Chaotic Neutral, so no one was truly surprised by the scene she made, but it was great nonetheless. She made have "looked like a hooker" in her own words, but fans couldn't get enough of her amazing outfit.
Her Ripped Shirt And Beret
A beret is not an easy accessory to pull off, especially a fuzzy powder blue beret--but Maddy is able to do it effortlessly. Season 2 may have had some of the most heartbreaking scenes of the show, especially for Maddy, but she still managed to look flawless.
She pairs the fuzzy Y2K beret with a very on-trend tank top that's ripped and safety-pinned back together. She really capitalized on the early 2000s aesthetic and she's an icon for the movement toward that type of fashion.
Her All-Denim Two Piece
Maddy had a ton of outfits that featured flattering cutouts in all different shapes. This outfit wasn't featured very heavily on the show, but it was positively one of her cutest.
The set is a matching denim two-piece with a crop top vest and high-waisted jeans. The jeans have an asymmetrical cutout on the hip that directly plays off the off-center buttons. It's a really well-put-together outfit and touches on a lot of Maddy's key style elements.
Her Prom Outfit
It's pretty risque to wear such a revealing set to prom, but the sparkling sheer two-piece was perfect for Maddy. While still keeping on theme for Maddy's Y2K fashion, the silhouette and fuzzy feathered jacket go perfectly together.
The color scheme and general look were a direct representation of what was going on in Maddy's life at the time. She was trying to break free from her relationship with Nate while simultaneously trying to get his attention. It's more in line with her taste than Nate's, but it still attracts attention with the rhinestones.
Her New Years' Eve Dress
The season 2 premiere promised an all-new version of Maddy: one that was trying to free herself from the role as "Nate's girlfriend" and trying to find out her identity outside of a relationship. As such, fans saw even edgier but also classier looks from Maddy that they immediately wanted to recreate.
Her little black dress highlighted her growing maturity, while the sharp, angled eyeliner let people know that she wasn't to be messed with. As someone who is trying to be happy being by themselves, this look oozes confidence.
Her Look That Cassie Copies
This look was so iconic that Cassie couldn't help but create a carbon copy of it for herself when she was trying her hardest to get Nate's attention--she even copies Maddy's edges. The look is classic Maddy and is even in one of her signature colors: purple.
While the get-up looks like a costume or cosplay on Cassie, it looks completely natural on Maddy and accentuates her smaller frame well. She even has some decorative gemstones on her chest that Cassie didn't quite replicate, but she should have.
Her Silky Green Nightgown
Maddy's role as a babysitter was something that fans thought didn't make much sense in season 2, but it did let Maddy pretend to be an adult. She's desperate to get away from high school drama and wants to play house for a bit.
While cosplaying as a housewife--or single homeowner--Maddy lounged around in a rhinestone-embellished matching light green nightgown and robe. She looked right at home there and even accessorized the outfit with a matching green champagne bottle.
Her Birthday Dress
Maddy's birthday party had a lot going on--from Cassie's messy, drunk vomiting to Maddy and Nate's hot tub argument. But, something that was adorable and understated was Maddy's birthday dress.
The main part of the dress was the classy black that Maddy had sported repeatedly throughout the second season, but it also had a frilly lace trim at the top, almost indicative of the small hope she had that she and Nate would get back together because something that like would be the way he'd like her to dress.
Maddy's Button Up Outfit
Many people thought Maddy's initial reaction to finding out about Nate and Cassie would be much worse--and much more violent in nature. However, for a while, she adopted an "out-of-sight, out-of-mind" attitude about the whole thing.
Her outfits during this time really reflected the higher road she was taking emotionally. They were more conservative and were almost Maddy's take on "business casual." She wore this amazing white button-down crop top with black shorts and looked very above it all.
