Married At First Sight season 18 premieres on Tuesday, October 8 at 8/7c on Lifetime. The long-running unscripted show that matches up strangers in legal matrimony has always had a terrible track record. Since its premiere in 2014, the show's relationship experts have been using data, experience, and intuition to make matches. Though the shows had some success stories, like Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner from season 1, the couples usually ended up getting divorced. It'll be interesting to see if the 10 singles chosen this season will fare any better than past participants.

Married At First Sight season 18 premiered Tuesday, October 8, and airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on Lifetime.

Married At First Sight season 17 was an absolute disaster, failing to yield any successful marriages. Things were so bad that one of the marriages even ended during their honeymoon. Only one couple said yes on Decision Day, and they decided to break up the very next day. In light of last season's stunning level of romantic failure, the pressure is on for Married at First Sight season 18 to deliver some successful love stories.

The Real Housewives Of New York

Tuesdays 9 pm ET/PT on Bravo

1000-Lb Sisters

One of the most highly anticipated reality television fall premieres is none other than the return of 1000-lb Sisters season 6. The show, which premiered in 2010, is back on Tuesday, October 8 for a whole new season. Experts provide counseling and guidance as they help couples navigate their new marriage with their unknown partner and highlight the journey of the newlyweds from wedding to honeymoon to beginning their new lives together. At the end of eight weeks, couples will decide to stay married or divorce.
