The hit Netflix series Stranger Things is truly multifaceted. It mashes elements such as horror, comedy, and action together with great success. One other element the show has featured in droves is romance, showcasing some truly heartwarming relationships of all ages and acts of love throughout its four seasons.

While some of the show's relationships have come and gone, whether due to death or other circumstances, plenty of them are still going strong heading into the show's fifth and final season. Well, some of them are certainly going stronger than others.

Nancy And Jonathan

Before the fourth season, it would have been unthinkable to view the pairing of Nancy and Jonathan as one of the ones least likely to stay together, especially with how much of the earlier seasons are dedicated to their growing bond and eventual love for one another. Yet the most recent season of Stranger Things has provided some serious doubts as to whether the two will remain together.

Between the pair's differing desires for the future, as well as Steve once again entering Nancy's life and showing that his feelings for her may have reignited, things aren't looking good for the once unbreakable couple. Even if Nancy doesn't want to get back together with Steve, she and Jonathan clearly have some problems they need to communicate with each other about if they want to keep their relationship intact.

Robin And Vickie

Stranger Things Season 4 Robin and Vickie

While Robin and Vickie are technically still not in an official relationship yet, the sweet moment they share in the season 4 finale seems to indicate that the two will be dating sooner rather than later. It was a moment of triumph for Robin, who previously fawned over Vickie all season, only to have her heart broken when she spotted Vickie kissing her boyfriend, Dan.

The show has not officially stated Vickie's sexuality, and there's always a chance of Dan making an unwanted return, both things that work against the possible couple. Yet, many fans hope that Vickie has more screen time in season 5 so that it can open up a chance for Robin to finally get her happy ending.

Mike And Eleven

Mike and Eleven roller skate together while Will watches on.

Another one of the show's most iconic couples, Mike and Eleven are each not without their flaws, something that has often damaged their relationship. While Mike's visit to California for Spring Break in season 4 should have been a wonderful time, the pair's reunion was anything but fun.

Between Eleven lying to Mike about her ostracization at her new school and Mike refusing to say he loves Eleven, the two's relationship was on the rocks. The pair patch things up in a big way in the season 4 finale, Mike's confession of love helping fuel Eleven in her fight against Vecna. Ultimately, however, both Eleven's looming battle with Vecna and Will's unresolved feelings for Mike could seriously affect the chances of the pair staying together.

Dustin And Suzie

Despite never physically sharing a scene together so far in Stranger Things, Dustin and Suzie certainly seem to have one of the strongest bonds in the entire show. Between their iconic duet of "Never Ending Story" and the adorable nicknames they've created for one another, it's clear that the love is strong between the two characters.

However, it has to be said that Dustin probably isn't the best influence on Suzie. Suzie is one of the smartest Stranger Things characters, something which Dustin has taken advantage of, getting his girlfriend to hack into his school's database and change his grades. The act racked Suzie with guilt, and ultimately lead her to confess to her father and receive punishment for it. This, as well as the great distance between the two, certainly hampers their relationship.

Karen And Ted

Karen and Ted Wheeler sitting side by side.

Karen and Ted Wheeler are the parents of Nancy, Mike, and Holly but don't really seem to be the picture of love that such a large family would appear to hint at. They seem almost like opposites if anything, Karen being kind and radiant while Ted is almost always lethargic and dour. There was even a few moments where it looked like Karen might cheat on her husband, coming dangerously close to giving in to her flirting with Billy Hargrove and having an affair with him.

However, she ultimately stopped herself and broke off any potential adulterous act. If Billy couldn't get her to cheat on Ted, it's hard to imagine anybody else could. While it may not be one of the healthiest relationships in Stranger Things, it looks like the Wheeler bond is one that is here to stay, for better or for worse.

Lucas And Max

While Lucas and Max have suffered their fair share of ups and downs like Mike and Eleven have, with Lucas and Max even being broken up for the majority of season 4, it's much harder to imagine this pair of characters not ending up together come the final season's end. Max went through a deep depression after her stepbrother Billy's death at the hands of the Mind Flayer, struggling in school and breaking things off with Lucas for good.

Yet, Lucas stuck by her, always encouraging her and trying to protect her from Vecna. Lucas plays a huge role in helping Max come to with her depression and having one of the best character arcs in season 4. The pair had planned a movie date before the unfortunate events of the season finale, and should Max recover, there's no doubt that they will make good on those plans.

Joyce And Hopper

Joyce and Hopper kiss in Stranger Things 4

Stranger Things fans everywhere rejoiced when Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers finally kissed after the pair's escape from the Russian prison Kamchatka. It was the payoff to four seasons of buildup, with many fans unsure if they would ever come to fruition. The pair was too preoccupied in season 1 with Will's disappearance for romance to blossom, Joyce was dating Bob in season 2, and the pair's planned date at Enzo's went up in smoke when it appeared that Hopper had died closing the portal to the Upside Down.

As soon as Joyce found out Hopper was alive in season 4, she dropped everything, enlisting Murray to fly to Russia with her and break Hopper out of Kamchatka. Demogorgons, Russian soldiers, and even death itself can't keep these two characters apart. Joyce and Hopper are finally together, and they're not splitting apart anytime soon.
