Everything Everywhere All at Once's UK release date is May 13th2022. The UK release was announced on April 19th, 2022, via director Daniel Kwan's Twitter. The tweet in question gives a simple apology for the short wait, and then a "see you soon" tagline. It looks like the pandemic didn't slow this A24 film down. Rather, Everything Everywhere All at Once is coming out in the UK way ahead of its projected schedule.

Why Everything Everywhere All At Once Is Releasing Late In the UK

Everything Everywhere All At Once has a release date to watch in the UK — and it's sooner than initially expected. A24 does not typically distribute outside the U.S. Instead, they sell off those rights to companies such as Entertainment Film Distributors in the UK. Because of this, it often takes several months for a movie to become available in UK theaters after its American release. For instance, Lady Bird came out in the U.S. in early November of 2017 and didn't release in the UK until February of the following year. Another A24 film, The Green Knight, was released in the U.S. on July 30, 2021, and in the UK on September 24. Everything Everywhere All At Once's release, thankfully, didn't follow this pattern, as the UK only had to wait for a little under two months for the movie's theatrical release.

However, considering the scale of audience response to the movie, it's not surprising that the UK release date Everything Everywhere All At Once ended up getting is earlier than originally planned. But it's unlikely that A24 was prepared for the amount of hype the film has been receiving, especially due to the difficulties filmmakers Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as the Daniels, experienced when trying to get the film greenlit. They explained (via Entertainment) how tough it had been for them to find a studio to accept their idea during initial pitches: "It was mixed reactions because people didn't know what to make of it." Interest in the 2022 sci-fi movie has grown slowly but steadily since its premiere, and praise for the story's profound themes and creative approach to the multiverse has led to an explosion of for Everything Everywhere All At Once.
