DC Twisted New Justice League Comes Together on Variant Cover

Absolute Power 1 Timms Variant Cover NF: a group of Amazo androids.

Amanda Waller has been trying to establish her own brand of order, but she wasn't the only one who had that kind of ambition. Batman's backup persona Zur-En-Arrh transferred his consciousness to the robotic Failsafe body, intent on eradicating crime on a worldwide level. To aid his mission, Zur-En-Arrh acquired a collection of Amazo robots that he planned to use as host bodies for other Zur-En-Arrh personalities that the original acquired while traveling the multiverse. Thankfully, Batman put a stop to Zur-En-Arrh before his mission was carried out. However, the whereabouts of the Amazo robots is currently unknown.

Waller, of course, is going to come into possession of these Amazos and Failsafe to create Task Force VII. While fans have yet to meet the team in the pages of a DC Comic, this cover is one of the best looks fans have had at this robotic Justice League yet. It's a bit unsettling to see these automatons and their cold, dead-eyed stars aping the style of the DC Universe's best heroes. But it does make one wonder what this team is capable of. As Absolute Power draws closer, killer art like this really hypes this twisted Justice League.

Amanda Waller's New Team Has Serious Potential

Fans have yet to see what the of Task Force VII are capable of. But this cover makes the nearly all-Amazo team seem quite intimidating. Readers have seen corrupted or otherwise evil Justice League-like teams before, but this cover does a fantastic job of selling the creepy threat the real Justice League is going to have to overcome. With Absolute Power nearly here, it won't be long before this robotic Justice League shows the DC Universe what they can do.

Absolute Power #3 is available from DC Comics on September 4th.
