Now, after the surprise announcement that Evil season 4 will be the last, Paramount+ has unveiled a trailer for the final episodes. Check it out below:

It seems as though season 4, which debuts in May, has everyone on edge. At one point, Kristen even bursts out laughing. It should be noted that the teaser does not include footage from the final four Evil episodes, which begin filming in May.

Evil Season 4 Has A Lot Of Cliffhangers To Address

There is one last showdown between Kristen and Leland.

Michael Emerson as Leland in Evil wearing big thick glasses and talking straight into the camera, uncomfortably close to the lens

In the eventful Evil season 3 finale, which pays off a storyline from the show's early episodes, Kristen learns that her missing egg has been stolen from the RSM fertility clinic and implanted in a surrogate with the hopes of bringing about the antichrist. It's a lot of potentially game-changing developments in of the larger plot but Kristen also faces other personal problems. This puts her on the direct path to a clash with the villainous Leland Townsend (Michael Emerson).

Evil: Why The Reviews Are So Positive

Critics have praised Paramount+ drama Evil for its interesting themes and witty writing, as well as Mike Colter and Michael Emerson's acting.

There's also the revelation that Kristen's mother, Sheryl (Christine Lahti), is working with Leland. Viewers only saw Kristen's shocked expression, but it teases a difficult road ahead and a potential familial rift that will have to be mended. This is further complicated by Sheryl helping Leland abduct Kristen's husband, Andy (Patrick Brammall), and paralyzing him. But the question remains whether Sheryl is trying to protect her daughter and granddaughters in a roundabout way.

There are other questions, concerning the often teased romance between David and Kristen, in addition to Ben's ability to find some solace in his personal life. There's also Dr. Kurt (played by Kurt Fuller) and his pact with dark forces for career advancement. Thankfully, Evil has four episodes to provide a sense of resolution.
