Including the likes of The Godfather. There are millions of unique and creative books with incredibly large fandoms that would guarantee their success on screens.
There's a lot of fun in reading a book before the movie comes out, for those that want to know the full story ahead of time. It's also interesting to make comparisons between the book and movie and see beloved characters come to life. With that in mind, there are many book adaptations to look out for in 2022.
Death On The Nile By Agatha Christie

'Salem's Lot By Stephen King
'Salem's Lot follows a man and a boy as they return to their hometown to confront their fears. Many of Stephen King's books were adapted in the '80s and he is now known as the king of horror. King doesn't disappoint in this tale of vampires that have seemingly taken over a town.
'Salem's Lot has been adapted in the past as a TV miniseries, similarly to It. Being limited to television, the previous adaptations probably didn't have the biggest budget or the best effects. With the recent success of the newest adaptation of It, it'll be exciting to see the horrors this new 'Salem's Lot remake will bring to the big screen. Salem's Lot is set to come out on September 9.
Hocus Pocus & The All New Sequel By A.W. Jantha
Hocus Pocus & The All New Sequel takes place 25 years after the events of the movie. Max and Allison from the first movie have a seventeen-year-old daughter who ends up going against the Sanderson sisters on Halloween just like her parents.
The Hocus Pocus sequel has been in the works for years and the book is actually the novelization of a previous script that was made. The Hocus Pocus will follow a similar storyline as the book, with the Sanderson sisters returning after years to wreak havoc on new high school students. Hocus Pocus is a cult classic Halloween movie, and perhaps the sequel will gain as much success.
Persuasion By Jane Austen
Jane Austen's Persuasion follows Anne Elliott. In the past, she was engaged to a man named Frederick but decided to end things after being convinced by a friend of hers. Eight years later when Frederick returns, Anne has to decide whether their romance is worth another shot.
Many Austen books have been adapted to the screens and Persuasion is no exception. This time around, the story will be adapted by Netflix and Dakota Johnson will be portraying Anne. This could be the next great Jane Austen adaptation after Emma. Persuasion does not yet have a set release date.

Peter Pan By J.M. Barrie
Peter Pan is about an orphan who is taken away by fairies to Neverland, where pirates, fairies, and lost boys live. Peter becomes the leader of the Lost Boys and travels to London to take Wendy to Neverland so that she can become their mother.
Peter Pan has been adapted plenty of times, but aside from the original animated film, many of the live-action remakes have been criticized for different reasons. This new Peter Pan and Wendy will have a more diverse cast than other interpretations, with Alexander Molony, Yara Shahidi, and many other actors ing Jude Law for Peter Pan and Wendy.
Bullet Train By Kotaro Isaka
