Chris Hemsworth returns as Tyler Rake in a new trailer for Extraction 2, which teases the bigger, bolder, and even more action-packed sequel. The sequel follows Hemsworth's character after the events of the first film, in which he was presumed dead at the end. Sam Hargrave is back as director for Extraction 2, with original cast Golshifteh Farahani and Adam Bessa returning as well.

Now, ahead of Extraction 2's release date next month, Netflix has shared a new trailer for the film, teasing its even more relentless fight sequences and a new villain. Check it out below:

The trailer properly reveals Rake's new extraction targets, which include two younger girls and a young boy. Extraction 2 also trades the bustling city streets of Dhaka for a snowy location in Eastern Europe, changing the atmosphere of the sequel immensely.

What The Extraction 2 Trailer Reveals About The Movie

Chris Hemsworth carries a young girl while running in Extraction 2.

Like its predecessor, Extraction 2 is centered around a mission to locate and rescue a designated target from hostile territory. This time around, Rake is tasked with extracting a family who is being threatened by a Georgian gangster. His new mission will take him across Eastern Europe and will include infiltrating a high-security prison and subsequently starting a riot. Hemsworth was even lit on fire for part of this prison sequence.

The latest trailer provides the first real look at Extraction 2's villain, who appears to have a small army at his disposal. Unlike the previous film, however, these enemies seem to be better outfitted and equipped, boasting advanced weaponry, body armor, and attack helicopters. A helicopter appears to play a prominent role during Extraction 2's "oner" sequence, which has been confirmed to clock in at a whopping 21 minutes.

Not previously featured in the movie's marketing is the new high-rise sequence shown off in the trailer. The circumstances surrounding this new location aren't yet known, but Rake is shown transporting the two young women in his charge through the building as he fights off waves of enemies. This sequence will also seemingly involve Farahani's Nik Khan, who is suited up in tactical gear. Many questions remain about Extraction 2, but audiences thankfully only have about a month to wait before they can see Hemsworth back in action.
