A popular game in the cozy genre, Fae Farm, is making the leap to PlayStation and Xbox consoles next month. Differentiating itself from other wholesome farm sims by adding a magical slant and the ability to visit the Fae Realm, it quickly gained a fanbase after its initial announcement and launch. In addition to coming to PlayStation and Xbox, Fae Farm will also expand its PC availability by coming to the Windows Store, despite already being available on Steam and Epic Games Store.
Fae Farm was originally released for PC and Nintendo Switch in September 2023, but will now be available on all major platforms. Both the standard and deluxe editions will launch for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One consoles on October 22, 2024. The two current DLC packs, Coasts of Croakia and Skies of Azoria, will be made available the same day, which even adds a couple new possibilities for romance options.
Will Fae Farm Be On PS Plus Or Xbox Game ?
Where To Play Fae Farm After October 22, 2024
Sadly, in the announcement trailer shown above, Fae Farm developers, Phoenix Labs, have not said anything about the game being available as part of the subscription services Xbox Game or PlayStation Plus. This does not mean that it will not be included among those offerings, but it is currently neither confirmed nor denied.

Fae Farm Review: Fantasy At Its Finest
Fae Farm is a magical farming game that overcomes its handful of glitches through its boundless creativity, otherworldly ambiance, and sheer cuteness.
Players on both PlayStation and Xbox will have access to all the content that current players have, however. This includes the Skies of Azoria DLC, which offers a chance to explore the celestial lands and adds new romance options to the game, and the Coasts of Croakia DLC with 16 magical creatures in a tropical forest land. Each of these DLCs will likely be an additional charge, as they are for Nintendo Switch and PC.
Our Take On Fae Farm Moving To PlayStation And Xbox
Cozy Games Taking Center Stage
Nintendo Switch and Steam are currently the main platforms for cozy games to reside, with many of the most popular in the genre being unavailable on PlayStation or Xbox. As the genre is growing with many streamers and the Wholesome Direct showcasing relaxing titles, I feel we will be seeing more of these transitions with popular titles making themselves more widely available. This can be a boon overall for those, like myself, in the gaming community who gravitate towards many of these calmer titles.
Fae Farm is one of the biggest cozy farming simulators that have been released recently, and as it leads the way to PlayStation and Xbox, it will be interesting to see how its numbers do on those consoles. It is possible that the market has already limited itself by conditioning its players to only using Switch or PC. That said, it could also help grow the wider market by bringing new players into the genre, as people who may not have had access to a Switch or PC can now discover Fae Farm and explore more of the cozy genre.
