Excelling in sales on Steam, trophy so difficult to achieve that the developers don’t expect anyone to unlock it.
Despite the game’s financial success, it has remade in Media Molecule's Dreams.
A testament to the game’s popularity, VG247 reports that Steam’s weekly top sellers list indicates Fall Guys has exceeded the sales numbers of both Horizon Zero Dawn and Grounded on the virtual distributor. The game’s rise to fame is doubly impressive considering Steam’s weekly top sellers list is measured in total revenue, not number of copies sold. Moreover, the game’s collector’s edition is number three on the list, coming in third behind Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition, which received a PC port on August 7, 2020.
Seeing as Fall Guys is a fraction of the price of Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition on PC, its annexation of first place by generating more revenue is a further testament of its quality. The server issues may be frustrating, but they must not be exceedingly horrific given the amount of player engagement. It’s rare for triple-A titles such as Horizon Zero Dawn to be bested by something a bit less mainstream. However, the rankings could easily change, and the next list could see Fall Guys dip below its rivals.
Regardless of the ever-changing landscape, persistent server issues and providing a steady stream of post-launch , Fall Guys could easily maintain its presence as one of the grandest battle royale experiences to date. A company’s dedication to their product is an essential part of retaining audiences and proving their developing skills.
Fall Guys is available now on PlayStation 4 and PC.
