The Skyline Valley update for Fallout 76 introduces a brand-new area for your character to find, the previously inaccessible Vault 63, which you can enter through an unexpected quest. While this location's entrance has always been on your map, it has usually been impossible to explore. From Vault 63, you can access new quests, locations, and a ton of never-before-seen items added to the game's expansion.

Those who know the Vault's location may be able to fast travel to the sealed area if the place has been discovered on their map. You have to spend several Caps to teleport to Vault 63, but the cost isn't too high. By selling a few items, you will have the money to access one of the first areas from the Skyline Valley expansion in Fallout 76.

Fallout 76 got a lot of flak on release, but it’s undeniably improved since then. Is it finally worth playing? Here are the arguments for and against.

Vault 63 Location In Fallout 76 (& How To Enter)

Explore The Southwest Region Of The Wasteland

Fallout 76 characters entering Vault 63 and meeting one of the Vault dwellers inside

Travel to the southwest section of your map to find Vault 63 in the Ash Heap area of the Appalachia Wasteland. It will be obvious that one of Vault-Tec's creations is nearby due to the large Vault door lying on the ground in this region. Something catastrophic must have happened to cause the door normally sealing this location to be seemingly blown off its hinges to land on the surface.

Once you enter the Ash Heap, travel to the small shed that remains one of the few buildings in the area. From here, there are two doors, one leading outside and the other going down into a series of caves underneath the shed. Take the door on the left to travel down into the cave, where a Terminal can be accessed that describes the situation in the Vault as "normal."

The Terminal outside Vault 63's entrance is considered Level 0, which means that you do not need any perks to access it with your character.

Those looking to get to the new area map from Skyline Valley will have to start the "An Unlikely Invitation" quest introduced in the same expansion. This mission comes up naturally when you keep participating in content from the expansion in Fallout 76. Eventually, you will be led back to Vault 63 as part of a quest objective, but this time you are directed into the Vault itself to enter the previously inaccessible location.

You will quickly discover that Vault 63 is not one of the worst Vaults to live in during the fallout of nuclear war, as many survivors remain with different stories to tell. Here, you can start various quests, gain access to the new map, and accomplish much more. Those who find Vault 63 in Fallout 76 can begin exploring some of the most interesting elements of the Skyline Valley expansion with their character.
