GIANTS Software recently released Farming Simulator 25 on PC and other platforms as the newest addition to the beloved series within the simulation category, but the game's reception so far has been complicated. Drawing from the nostalgia of classic agricultural gaming, such as Harvest Moon, the franchise also fully immerses players into the farming lifestyle, focusing on the realism of the industry rather than just the aesthetic part of it.
In just under a week since its official launch on November 11th, Farming Simulator 25 has sold over 2 million copies, as announced on the official X and reported by GamesIndustry.biz. The tweet also acknowledges that the game needs some work, however, promising " improvements" and content additions.
Despite the sales success and a respectable "Mostly Positive" review score on Steam, Farming Simulator 25 has received its fair share of criticism from its audience. The console release is the most problematic, and players like Wesly_0x bring up the fact that the game runs poorly compared to past entries in the replies to the X post.

Promises To Fix Issues And More
The scale of GIANTS Software's planned changes isn't yet clear, but the announcement of intended improvements and updates certainly seems promising. If additional content and fixes turn out to be significant, it could act as an effective olive branch to those in the community who haven't found the experience satisfying so far.
While plenty of players are having fun with the game, the overall community has mixed opinions about purchasing the game in its current state. It seems to be a wiser decision to stick to previous installments, such as Farming Simulator 22, until Farming Simulator 25 is patched.
