Dominic Toretto is likely to be the one to kill the sadistic Dante Reyes in Fast X introduced Jason Momoa’s Reyes as the big bad of the franchise as it entered its endgame. Fast X set up the two-part (or possibly three-part) finale of the Fast & Furious saga, leading to the definitive conclusion of the story. Before that story can end, Reyes needs to die.

The cliffhanger ending of Fast X has left a lot of storylines up in the air. Dom and his son Little B were driving down an exploding dam, Alan Ritchson’s Agent Aimes was revealed to be a double agent working with Reyes, and Gisele turned out to be alive after all. And on top of all that, Reyes is still alive, tormenting Dom’s team. If it’s really the last movie (which it probably won’t be), Fast & Furious 11 will need to tie up all these storylines. But maybe Dom shouldn’t be the one to kill Reyes.

Dwayne Johnson's Luke Hobbs Should Be The One To Take Down Dante Reyes

It Would Be A Perfect Way To Welcome Hobbs Back

The mid-credits scene of Fast X also brought back Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs. Hobbs and his team checked out an abandoned theater, where Hobbs received a call from Reyes, who promised he’d be his next target. Staunchly looking death in the face, Hobbs simply told Reyes that he’s not hard to find, challenging him to come after him and see what would happen. This set up how Fast 11 should end: Hobbs should be the one to kill Reyes.

There could be no better way to welcome Hobbs back into the main saga than by giving him the final kill. He’s always had Dom’s back, and it would pave the way for a touching reunion if Hobbs is the one to save Dom and his family from their tormentor. At the very least, Fast 11 should have Hobbs play a significant role in the final fight against Reyes, similar to how Dom and Hobbs teamed up at the end of both Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6.

Hobbs Is The One Dante Reyes Should Really Be Targeting, Not Dominic Toretto

Hobbs Is The One Who Killed Reyes' Father

Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa) behind the wheel of a car in Fast X

Reyes’ vengeful crusade against Dom and his family has been a great dramatic vehicle for Dom’s past coming back to haunt him, but Dom isn’t really the one he should be going after in Fast & Furious 11. Dante is the son of drug lord Hernan Reyes, the main villain from Fast Five. But Dom isn’t the one who killed Dante’s father; Hobbs killed him in retribution for the deaths of his team. Hobbs is the one Dante should seek revenge against — and since Hobbs killed Dante’s father for his own revenge, it would make for a more interesting story.
