A recent tease from Vin Diesel indicates that Fast & Furious 11 may be returning to the track where Dom's dad died in F9. While the franchise hasn't spent a lot of time focusing on its characters' childhoods, F9 featured a flashback to Jack Toretto's (JD Pardo) fatal crash, adding context to Dom and Jakob's (John Cena) strained relationship. This location clearly holds a lot of significance to the franchise given it is a huge part of Dom's journey, and Diesel's recent Instagram post suggests that Fast & Furious 11 could potentially return to this racetrack.

Vin Diesel's new Fast & Furious 11 images feature him training at this familiar location, with the actor even referencing the emotional flashback scene in his caption. Choosing to train here could be purely coincidental but given how much marketing Diesel did for Fast X, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if this was a hint towards the final movie returning to this location. Given the high-stakes action of the previous outing, Fast & Furious 11 heading back to this racetrack may seem a little out of place, but this may be an attempt to make racing important again.

Although this is the last film in the main saga, Fast & Furious is set to continue through spinoffs, and there are already future plans in place as Universal's Donna Langley has mentioned Fast & Furious potentially returning to street racing in future installments.

Therefore, Fast & Furious 11 may begin the resurgence of racing in the franchise and make it important once again. Given Dante's flamboyant nature and big ego, it doesn't seem unlikely for the antagonist to bring racing into his evil plans. Challenging Dom to a race on the track where his father died would fit perfectly into his personal vendetta against the protagonist, and could be where a final showdown takes place, meaning if Fast & Furious 11 features racing frequently throughout the film, it would prove its significance to the franchise while making this final encounter feel even bigger.
