While the late Paul Walker has been honored in previous Fast & Furious installments, Fast X marks a new kind of ode. The franchise, which now covers everything from street racing and heists to espionage and the importance of family, boasts an impressive cast of characters in Fast X — from action stars and big-name celebs to franchise vets. Even so, Meadow Walker's brief cameo in Fast X is one of the most talked about moments in the film. While the actor teased her appearance ahead of the movie's theatrical debut, audiences now know more about the context of her role and what it means for the franchise going forward.
Meadow Walker Plays A Flight Attendant In Fast X
In Fast X, Meadow Walker plays a flight attendant who's seemingly allied with the Toretto family. While Diesel returns as Toretto family patriarch Dom, he sees his team of street-racers-turned-hiest-squad- in peril thanks to the fallout from his previous actions. When the Agency tasks Dom's team with stealing a valuable computer chip that's in transit to Rome, Italy, the supposedly retired Dom hangs back. This allows other Fast X characters in the Fast & Furious family tree to take the spotlight — at least for a bit — with one of them being master thief, assassin, and driver Jakob Toretto (John Cena), Dom's brother.
About halfway through Fast X (1 hour, 25 minutes mark), Jakob and his nephew, Brian "Little B" Marcos (Leo Abelo Perry), need to hide out from the Agency. This brings Dom's family to seek help from Walker's unnamed airline attendant. "I grew up on set watching my father, Vin, Jordana [Brewster], Michelle [Rodriguez], Chris ["Ludacris" Bridges], and more on the monitors," Walker posted on Instagram ahead of the movie's theatrical release. Walker's character helps the duo get away from the Agency and, even though her cameo is brief, it's a memorable one. The character is connected to Dom's family, as Jakob says, "It's good to have friends in high places."
How Meadow Walker Can Return After Fast X
This might not be Meadow Walker's last appearance in the Fast & Furious franchise. Shown to be Jakob and Brian's ally, the mysterious flight attendant is somehow connected to the Toretto family at large. Given Fast X's cliffhanger ending, Dom and the Toretto family will need all the help they can get in the next Fast & Furious installment. This leaves the door open for Walker to reprise her role, be it another cameo or a more full-fledged part. It's clear Meadow Walker is delighted to be part of the Fast family, so seeing her in Fast X's follow-up seems more than likely.
