WARNING! This article contains SPOILERS for Fast X!Pete Davidson makes a surprising cameo amid the international conflicts in Fast X, with his character fittingly providing some comic relief. The Fast & Furious franchise is no stranger to celebrity cameos, such as singer Cardi B’s F9 cameo, Iggy Azalea’s appearance in Furious 7, and Bad Bunny’s blink-or-you’ll-miss-it cameo in an F9 flashback sequence. While most of the franchise’s memorable cameos have been from modern rappers and musicians, Fast X’s cameo from Saturday Night Live alum and The King of Staten Island star Pete Davidson digs deeper into the Fast & Furious’ comedic shifts, which is especially appropriate given the masterful goofiness of Jason Momoa’s new villain Dante.
Pete Davidson actually isn’t the only celebrity to appear in Fast X’s cast, as Disney Channel star Debby Ryan and Twenty One Pilots drummer Josh Dun appear as themselves at the airport. However, Davidson’s brief cameo is certainly the most memorable of Fast X’s celebrity appearances, especially considering his chemistry with the returning Fast & Furious characters. While Davidson’s appearance concludes with a humorous betrayal of Fast X’s heroes, there’s still the potential for the actor’s new character to reoccur in the franchise.
Who Pete Davidson Plays In Fast X
After discovering that the Toretto crew’s money has been dispersed into the pockets of Dante’s mercenaries, Ramsey, Roman, Han, and Tej seek out one of Ramsey’s former allies to help them find guns on the black market. They soon arrive at an internet cafe in London, where Pete Davidson’s character Bowie is high eating “fun muffins” and running his black market business. Bowie agrees to help them find guns in exchange for a high price, though Roman is initially only willing to offer $100. It’s unclear exactly how well Ramsey and Bowie know one another outside of their hacking professions in London, but Davidson’s final appearance before Fast X's cliffhanger ending suggests they weren't close enough to cement his loyalty.
Why Pete Davidson's Character Betrays Ramsey (Will He Return For Fast 11?)
While still in Bowie’s shop, the crew realizes that he tagged them for the Agency, as their faces are all over the dark web and the reward for their locations is high. Pete Davidson’s Fast X character reiterates that exposing them wasn’t personal, but Roman still humorously blows dust in his face before leaving to find a different gun dealer. Bowie’s betrayal was simply based on the large reward considering he didn’t have much loyalty to Dom’s crew, so it still doesn’t rank high among the franchise’s big double-crossing incidents. Of course, Bowie’s betrayal leads Fast X’s characters back to a familiar face in London, which includes a confrontation between Shaw and Han that officially concludes their rivalry.
Despite leaving Ramsey with a moment of treachery, Pete Davidson’s Fast X hacker Bowie could still return in the franchise’s future. Fast X proved that the fight against Dante is occurring on a massive international scale, so the Toretto family may still require Bowie’s hacking skills to help access weapons on the black market in London, especially since Ramsey's fate is unknown in Fast X's ending. If so, Davidson could redeem his character's betrayal by returning to aid the Toretto family in Fast & Furious 11.
