Breaking Bad prequel will end. Every character has had their own unique journey, many of whom have been descending deeper and deeper into criminal behavior and moral ambiguity.
As with any show, fans often pick their favorite characters. Many viewers, for example, are deeply invested in the character of Kim, wondering how her story ends and why she isn't seen or mentioned in Breaking Bad. Which character fans relate to or simply like the most can say a lot about their personality.
Saul – Cunning And Clever
Those who tend to love Saul are bound to be cunning and clever like him. Highly intelligent, his reputation as a conman precedes him, making it difficult for the character to find his way to make an honest living. His knowledge of the law gives him the unique ability to get his clients out of jams while his willingness to skirt the law means he chooses to use his intellect and abilities to defend those who have done some questionable things.
Saul has unusual tactics, often resorting to illegal activities himself to get his clients what they need. Those who like the character appreciate how he is always several steps ahead and plays a long game. They root for the anti-hero.
Kim – Intelligent And Thrill-Seeking
Kim, one of the best characters on Better Call Saul, according to Ranker, is highly intelligent and struggles to balance her desire to help people in need with her need for thrills. Fans who like her either share these qualities or like to live vicariously through the character. She makes questionable decisions in the name of achieving a high when she pulls a fast one over someone.
Kim has the unique ability to teeter the line between being highly moral and caring about others versus being willing to go to great lengths to get revenge on those she believes deserve it, like Howard.
Howard – Charming And Confident
Despite the fact that Howard initially came across as a villain, the only thing he's guilty of is being talented, well-off, and arrogant. When he is working or with his friends or clients, he can be very charming and likable. He's confident in what he does.
Fans who choose Howard as a favorite character may share some of these same qualities, believing they are wrongfully judged simply because they are privileged, successful, and high-class. His wealth and career make it difficult for Howard to truly relate to the "little guy."
Hector – Arrogant And Sensitive
Hector is arrogant but also very sensitive. If there is a threat to his leadership or insult to the way he does his job, he takes it personally. Those who like Hector are probably overly sensitive and always seeking out the approval of others.
But while he is sensitive, he also has an inflated sense of self and a desire to do things his way. He is a leader, but one who is more reactionary than logical, which is sometimes a dangerous combination.
Gus – Ambitious And A Natural Leader
Fans who consider themselves leaders, or who possess a strong sense of ambition, will relate to Gus. He wasn't content being a number-two to anyone and sought out power and influence. He wanted to be feared and didn't want anyone in his way. Gus is one of the biggest villains on Better Call Saul as well as on Breaking Bad.
Gus is naturally commanding, and fans who believe they can't work for anyone else and strive to be their own bosses will relate to Gus' intense drive and desire to steer the ship. While he is inscrutable like Mike, however, he is also just as ruthless, if not more.
Mike – Cool And Calm
Mike is the coolest, calmest, and most collected character on the show. Fans who find themselves avoiding conflict, or dealing with difficult situations with practicality and logic, will relate to and like Mike. Like Nacho, he values family and he will do anything for his daughter-in-law and granddaughter.
Even if he rarely shows emotion, however, Mike definitely feels emotional when he is forced to do things that he isn't happy about, such as bring Nacho to his death. But he thinks before he feels. In the end, the main concern is getting the job done, and getting it done well.
Lalo – Determined And Ruthless
Considering Nacho tried to kill Lalo and he managed to escape unscathed, he is among the most determined and ruthless characters on the show. Those who like Lalo may be the type to root for the villain, loving drama and danger.
Lalo uses threats, intimidation, and often violence to get what he wants. While fans who like the character might not share the same characteristics, they love shows with characters who shake things up and keep others constantly looking over their shoulder.
Nacho – Loyal And Family-Oriented
Nacho was loyal right to the end, even giving up his own life to save his father and ensure he would be protected and remain unharmed. While he struggled with being loyal to Hector and the Salamancas, he could not bring himself to continue doing the heinous things he had been doing for so long.
Despite what he did, Nacho had a strong moral com, and fans who value family above all else will relate to Nacho. He loved his father and was willing to do anything for him. Nacho's ending on Better Call Saul was perfect in many ways.
Chuck – Serious And Stubborn
Chuck was both serious and stubborn, and fans who liked the character would be considered outliers since he was almost universally despised. While Chuck was the most intelligent villain on Better Call Saul, he wasn't exactly an endearing character. Chuck wasn't a risk-taker and didn't spend his time focused on hobbies or activities he believed served no purpose to him.
He was so set in his ways, in fact, that he refused to ever consider that his brother had changed or gave him the benefit of the doubt. He was also a jealous person who held a grudge for a long time.
Stacey – Strong And Resilient
Stacey represents a strong and resilient female character on the show, and one of the only main female characters, period. Mike's daughter-in-law lost her husband in a tragic accident and had to adjust her entire life to be a single working mom.
She continued to work as a nurse, which meant long, tiring hours while also having to care for a child. It takes a lot for a woman to deal with losing a husband while also having to keep things together. She was lucky also to have Mike's help, though she likely would have refused it, or any money he left for her, if she knew where it came from and what he did to get it.
