Warning: SPOILERS ahead for FBI: International season 4, episode 9!FBI: International season 4 winter premiere, it was revealed that Vo survived the gunshot wound she sustained in the fall finale. While she didn't appear onscreen during the latest episode, it was confirmed that, despite the outlook originally not looking good, the Fly Team still has their second-in-command. However, the episode itself didn't reveal when she'll be coming back, nor what her condition will be when she's next seen.
Speaking with CinemaBlend, Vidotto explained that Vo will return in FBI: International season 4, episode 10, which will catch up with her recovery process after being shot. The actor indicated a time jump will be involved, with her recovery process meaning she will likely still be a major contributor to the Fly Team in future episodes. However, it's unclear just how long her healing is really going to take. Check out what Vidotto had to say about her character's future below:
It's [episode] 10! It's the one after 9. There's a little bit of a time jump.
Can't be shaken off in a week. Takes quite a few weeks, if not months, to recover from. But she's a bada**, she's resilient, and she is on the Fly Team. She's not just a regular agent, and to be on the Fly Team, it takes a type of person to risk their lives in the first place, endure that, and decide to move on in service of the Fly Team and protecting Americans.
I don't think we dive too deep into the trauma and experience of it all, but more of, I think just Vo being eager to go back and serve the team, and maybe the underlying thing is that she felt like she failed the team, or has to prove to Wes that she belongs still, because he was her training agent at West Point. So there might be that as well.
What Vo's Return To FBI: International Means For The Rest Of Season 4
Her Recovery Process Could Take Precedent
Although it's unclear how long the time jump is going to be, it will likely be just long enough for Vo to be back on her feet. However, given the severity of her gunshot wound and the amount of time spent wondering if she'll be alright, the second-in-command is likely still going to be in recovery during the next episode. This probably means the characters of FBI: International will be continuing their work without her for some time, perhaps already growing accustomed to it following the timeskip.

8 Ways Fly Team Misses Scott Forrester In FBI: International Season 4
There are plenty of reasons that FBI: International's Fly Team misses SSA Scott Forrester after he left and was replaced by Wes Mitchell.
As for Vo's storyline, Vidotto's statement echoes how difficult a process her return to the team is going to be, with more time likely ing before she's fully recovered. While her getting back to normal probably isn't going to stretch into a possible FBI: International season 5, her statement reflects how it won't be easy for her to jump right back into her law enforcement career. After such a life-threatening close call, her mindset could also be different, redefining her relationship with her work and, possibly, with other characters.
Our Take On Vo's Recovery In FBI: International Season 4
She Might Have A Difficult Road Ahead
It's unlikely Vo will recover very quickly, especially given the possible timelines Vidotto laid out for her recovery. This means the Fly Team might have to operate for a while without her, while the show also offers glimpses into her healing process following her return. While FBI: International season 4 probably won't end before she makes it back onto the team, the level of time and dedication to healing she'll have to do means it won't be a quick fix.
