First-look images of Agent Scola's latest partner in FBI season 7 premiere and the brief stint of Agent Syd Ortiz (Lisette Olivera), CBS has been actively searching for a new counterpart to assist Agent Scola (John Boyd) in the field. Earlier this year, Emily Alabi (S.W.A.T., FBI: International) was announced as the latest actor to replace Tiffany with the potential to become a series regular. Now, Scola's new partner can be seen in action.
TVLine has released a first look at Emily Alabi as Agent Dani Rhodes in an episode of FBI. The episode, titled “Covered,” premieres April 1 and follows Agent Scola as he teams up with Agent Rhodes to track down a leak endangering undercover agents. Rhodes can be seen possibly arresting a perpetrator before discussing an important task with Scola. Based on the first look, Rhodes appears to be a tough, seasoned agent. Check out the images below:
What Scola's New Partner Means For FBI
Agent Rhodes Is A Perfect Fit For The Team
Alabi makes her FBI debut as the team faces a dangerous breach in security. When an undercover agent is killed, they discover that multiple UC identities have been exposed, including Agent Maggie Bell, who has been working with an eco-terrorist group. To stop the leak and protect their colleagues, the FBI team turns to Agent Dani Rhodes, whose own cover was previously blown. This marks a major turning point for Agent Scola, who has worked closely with Maggie throughout FBI season 7 and must now adjust to a new partnership in the field.

FBI: Most Wanted Might Have Just Dropped A BIG Clue As To How The Series Will End
FBI: Most Wanted season 6, episode 14 offers a significant clue as to a probable ending for the procedural as the series begins its wrap-up.
Alabi is no stranger to intense procedural drama, having previously appeared in S.W.A.T., FBI: International, and NCIS. Most notably, she played Olivia Navarro, a war correspondent and love interest for Victor Tan in S.W.A.T. season 8. She also had recurring roles in FBI: International season 3 and Paramount+’s Joe Pickett. With her background in action-packed roles, Alabi is well-prepared to bring Agent Rhodes to life. She'll be a promising addition to the FBI cast, especially amid the show's recent cast shake-ups due to CBS' rotation policy.
Emily Alabi’s Career Beyond FBI
From Dance Floors To TV Screens
Before taking on the role of Agent Dani Rhodes on FBI, Alabi built an impressive career that spanned both on-screen and behind-the-scenes roles. She first made a name for herself as a professional dancer and choreographer, working on major productions such as Jon Favreau’s 2014 film Chef and Selena: The Series. Her dance skills also led her to perform at events like the Oscars and for TV projects like Disney's Shake It Up and The CW's Jane the Virgin. This foundation in movement and performance ultimately helped her transition into acting, where she quickly carved out a niche in action-packed roles.
Recognized globally as one half of the dynamic duo “Junior and Emily,” Emily Alabi is an award-winning salsa dancer with eight championship titles.
Alabi’s on-screen career gained traction in 2016 when she was cast as a recurring Skinwalker in MTV’s Teen Wolf. From there, she secured guest roles in several hit crime and procedural dramas, including NCIS, The Rookie, and Found, steadily establishing herself as a regular presence in TV dramas. She has since had a six-episode stint in the Paramount+ series Joe Pickett and another in the Magnum P.I. reboot. As she steps into the FBI universe, Alabi is taking on one of the most high-profile roles of her career with the opportunity for it to become her first long-term role in a hit procedural franchise.
Our Take On Agent Scola's New Partner
Agent Rhodes Could Be A Long-Term Addition
With CBS rotating characters in and out of each episode, FBI is clearly in a transition phase. While it remains to be seen how Agent Rhodes will fit into the team, Alabi's high-stakes debut suggests the show has big plans for her character. Given the actor's experience in action-heavy procedural roles, she's poised to be the perfect partner for Agent Scola, who has been in the team since season 2. Considering how Scola already had a potential partner earlier in season 7, only for her to exit before she got settled, it seems the creative team is determined to get this partnership right.
If Scola and Rhodes handle their first case with strong teamwork, Alabi could be bumped up to a series regular as FBI prepares for its next two seasons. The CBS franchise is facing an uncertain future as spinoffs Most Wanted and International come to a close, so it's important that the flagship series gains some stability. Hopefully, Alabi's Agent Rhodes will fit in among the other characters and give the writers the chance to build another compelling dynamic for the series. In the long run, she could become one of FBI's strongest agents.
