Now in its sixth season, Fear the Walking Dead is coming into its own with its own batch of unique characters and compelling storylines that set it apart from its sister series, The Walking Dead.

Like The Walking Dead, the characters have changed drastically since the series began with only a handful of "originals" remaining. And, also like the original show, Fear isn't afraid to kill off main characters.

Sometimes, the episodes focus on just a few, or even a single, character versus the entire group, which some fans love while others don't. Regardless of the breakdown, though, there are some characters that fans would love to see more of, and others that could be scaled back a tad.

More: Alicia Clark

Fear the Walking Dead's Alicia

Alicia has been in the background a lot as of late after having taken over the story for some time in previous seasons as a de facto leader of the group. But ever since Morgan came to town, she hasn’t had as much screen time.

Whenever she is in a scene, however, she dominates. And it seems like the series is setting it up for more stories to be centered around the character. That's a good thing as Alicia has had one of the most exciting arcs in the series to date.

Less: Morgan Jones

Fear the Walking Dead's Morgan holding an ax

Morgan is a great character who was also the first crossover character from The Walking Dead. But he is central to every episode, even having several episodes solely focused on his character. It makes sense because Morgan is the leader of the group who everyone turns to in order to make the important decisions.

But this comes at the expense of other great characters who need to be developed more so that viewers feel more connected to them and their stories.

More: Victor Strand

Victor from Fear the Walking Dead season 6 midseason finale

Victor Strand has always been a mysterious figure, and he continues to come in and out of episodes, not really getting to do much. There's so much more the character could do, and questions remain about his true intentions and loyalties.

Victor does often play the long game so chances are there will be a future episode centered around him making a huge move that shows his cards. Until then, he could still use a bit more screen time.

Less: June

June from Fear the Walking Dead, hair up, looking upset.

June's character arc is another interesting one. Not only has she changed dramatically, but it even took some time for others in the group, particularly her love interest turned husband John, to figure out who she really was.

There will be a lot of focus on her going forward now that she is trying to deal with the grief of losing John. But so many episodes have focused on her character, and she has been involved in some of the biggest storylines. It would be nice to the torch to another character.

More: Daniel Salazar

Daniel from Fear the Walking Dead

There's always something compelling about watching Daniel, who is very calculated and cunning. An early season six episode focused on him and the potential that he might be suffering from a mental breakdown, not able to recall things he has done or said.

Is it all an act? He has proven himself fully capable of fooling people with elaborate performances. Either way, he always steals the scenes he is in and deserves to have a bigger storyline.

Less: Luciana Salazar

Luciana outside, looking serious in Fear the Walking Dead

Luciana hasn't had a lot of screen time beyond being part of the group, but there was a lot of focus on her during the storylines with Nick. Since his death, along with her grieving process with Victor and her time working in tank town, there isn't much story left for the character.

If she becomes involved in a bigger storyline, it would be great to see more of Luciana. But with no peripheral storylines involving her character like there are with the others, fans don't have as big a connection her as they do with other characters.

More: Wes

Wes from Fear the Walking Dead

Wes was central to a storyline involving an underground group and finding his older brother he thought had died. And it proved that fans need to see more of Wes. He's a multi-layered character who is poised to become a leader of his group.

He proved he was able to make tough decisions when his back was against the wall, killing his own brother to prevent him from doing harm to the masses. He has a Rick Grimes-like moral com that makes him both dangerous and likable.

Less: Dakota

Dakota in Season 6 of Fear the Walking Dead

Dakota isn't exactly a fan favorite character, especially given that she is the younger sister (later revealed to be the daughter) of Virginia. But mostly because of the fact that she is responsible for killing John.

June already killed Virginia in retaliation so it's likely only a matter of time before she sets her sights on Dakota with a Maggie Rhee-like vengeance. For now, fans would like to see less of her until the grief caused by her vicious murderous actions eliminating a fan favorite characters wears off.

More: Althea

A picture of Althea crouched on the ground in Fear the Walking Dead is shown.

Althea only had one major episode centered around her when she met a soldier from the Civic Republic named Isabelle and they shared a fleeting romance. She maintains that critical connection to an outside and powerful group along with a collection of interviews on tapes that gives her insight into so many survivors that no one else has.

While she seems to have put down the camera for the most part, it would be nice to see Althea get back to doing what she does well, get back her tanker, and be given more screen time.

Less: Sherry

Sherry and Dwight from Fear the Walking Dead

For a long time, fans hoped that Dwight would find his long-lost wife Sherry, who he was desperately searching for after crossing over to this show. But when she was finally found, it was clear she had become a completely different person. She didn't believe in Dwight's ideas and what his group wanted to accomplish, or at least not how they wanted to go about it.

Thus, she has become more of a hindrance to their plans than an ally. Unless she changes her tune, it would be better to see less of her and more of Dwight.
