Fear The Walking Dead brought a resolution to a poignant Charlie and Alicia storyline. Following a surprisingly mild battle for the Tower and an even more surprising back-down from Victor Strand, Fear The Walking Dead season 7's penultimate episode culminated on a tranquil beach. The sandy locale was discovered several episodes prior by Sherry, who planned to send Dwight away on an inflatable raft, so he wouldn't turn into the man he became under Negan. Ultimately, however, it was Morgan Jones who set sail, opting to find somewhere safe for baby Mo instead of gunning against Strand.
Morgan apparently set a trend, as "Amina" ended with every Fear The Walking Dead character except Alicia taking to water on a fleet of rafts, heading towards the unknown. A series of farewells saw Alicia Clark share one last exchange with Charlie. Introduced in Fear The Walking Dead season 4, Charlie (Alexa Nisenson) originated as an antagonist - the undercover sister of a villain and the person responsible for killing Alicia's brother, Nick. They were thankfully on better by Fear The Walking Dead season 7.

What Happens With Charlie And Alicia In "Amina"
In an emotional final moment between Charlie and Alicia, Charlie uttered the line that called back to a prior moment between the two. This happened with Alicia and Charlie saying bye to each other. Alicia apologized for not being able to stop this from happening to Charlie and the younger girl apologized for also not being there for Alicia. That is when Charlie delivered the line, "I got to do something I never thought I would... I finally got to see a beach." This led to Charlie leaving with Daniel, who promised he would be there for her unlike his own daughter Ofelia. Alicia remained on the beach preparing for her final fate.
What The Beach Means To These Characters
This Charlie final quote actually references back to Fear The Walking Dead season 4's "Close Your Eyes." With Nick's body barely cold, Alicia still burned with grief-fueled rage, and revenge sat foremost in her mind. After encountering Charlie in an abandoned house, however, a tentative friendship started to form. The youngster itted she had never seen a beach, and the zombie apocalypse began just before a planned vacation to the coast, quashing her opportunity to experience sun, sand, and ice cream.
Despite reacting angrily at first (understandable - Charlie had just murdered Alicia's brother), the last of the Clark siblings decided to help her new companion visualize what a beach looked, smelt, and felt like, telling the preteen tearaway to close her eyes before describing every aspect of a classic beach in vivid detail. That experience brought Charlie and Alicia together, but the former's ultimate goal of seeing a beach in person still looked unachievable - and stayed that way for three seasons. It's hugely fitting that Charlie and Alicia finally reached the place they dreamed about when first bonding in "Close Your Eyes."

What Happens To Charlie And Alicia After The Scene
Fear The Walking Dead season 7's beach setting surely wasn't chosen for this purpose. The beach's primary function is to take the spinoff's survivors away from the nuclear fallout of Teddy's bomb and toward safer climes, but it's a happy coincidence that the location brought resolution to an old, unresolved storyline whilst paying tribute to the episode where Charlie and Alicia first meaningfully connected. Alicia's final scene felt distinctly like a farewell and Charlie's future looked even less certain. While she took off in a raft with the other protagonists, the youngster was plagued by zombie radiation and on borrowed time.
Alicia never returned, but her prosthetic arm did make a return appearance in Fear the Walking Dead, although there is no word on who has it. Charlie's fate remains unknown. Daniel showed back up in "Odessa" and said PADRE separated him from Charlie and Luciana because he was deemed to be "too old." Daniel said Charlie was dying from the zombie radiation, and he believes she died without him by her side, letting her down the same way he let down Ofelia. However, Madison gave him some hope. PADRE dumped Daniel into a swamp and left with the two girls, and Madison said PADRE's files could reveal the real fate of Charlie and Luciana.
