DLC chapters that star Yuffie

Yuffie's story in INTERmission runs alongside that of the main plot from FF7 Remake. She is tasked with infiltrating the Shinra Corporation and stealing a piece of powerful Materia that's in its possession. Yuffie is ed by Sonon, who is a fellow ninja from the nation of Wutai. Together, they must form an alliance with Avalanche HQ and take on the Shinra Corporation.

In FF7 Remake, the player is able to switch between party at any time. This won't be the case in INTERmission. The player will be able to control Yuffie in battle, but Sonon will mostly act on his own. Once the ATB meter is filled up, the player can command Sonon to perform certain attacks, and he has a synergy mechanic with Yuffie that allows them to pull off combo moves. It's also possible for the player to command Sonon to use Limit Breaks in battle.

Yuffie & Sonon's Limit Breaks In FF7 Remake Explained

Yuffie and Sonon back to back in FF7 Remake Intermission.

Limit Breaks in FF7 Remake work in the same way as FF7. Every time a character takes damage, their Limit Break meter fills up. Once it is filled, the character can perform a powerful attack, which comes with its own cutscene. The main difference between FF7 Remake and FF7 is that the player cannot store Limit Breaks for later use, as the meter resets at the end of every battle. In FF7 Remake, every character received two Limit Breaks. Yuffie and Sonon will only receive one Limit Break each in Intergrade, which makes sense, considering their story is only two chapters long.

Yuffie's Limit Break is called Bloodbath, which is a reference to her Bloodfest Limit Break from FF7. She launches herself at the enemy and performs multiple hits with her giant shuriken. Sonon's Limit Break is Dance of the Dragon and it allows him to perform multiple hits with his staff. These are basic Limit Breaks in of function, but they look flashy and deal a ton of damage to foes. The player might not spend a lot of time with Sonon and Yuffie in FF7 Remake Intergradebut the developers have at least given them some awesome Limit Breaks to use against their enemies.
