7.1 Crossroads update. Echoes of Vana'diel is the first section of Dawntrail's Alliance Raid, in which players enter into three groups of eight players. However, before entering the newest raid's first tier, players must complete a few quests to unlock their ability to queue for it.
Echoes of Vana'diel is particularly exciting for many players because it finally crosses over FFXIV with the first MMORPG in the Final Fantasy series: FFXI. If you're ready to explore a new area that might have a touch of nostalgia to it depending on if you played FFXI, you first need to be Level 100 on any Disciple of War or Magic class, complete the Dawntrail MSQ, and have an item level of 695 to enter the raid. Once you meet these conditions, it's time to head to Tuliyollal.

How To Unlock Echoes Of Vana'diel
Accept "An Otherworldly Encounter"
First, you need to head to the Aetheryte in Tuliyollal. You'll find a Hoobigo Messenger nearby at the coordinates (13, 11.5) with a quest titled "An Otherworldly Encounter." He asks you to go to Mamook and speak with Miilal Ja, so that's your next destination, using Aetheryte travel once again. Miilal Ja is to the west of the Mamook Aetheryte, and she explains that they found an Elezen unconscious and rambling about topics they don't understand. So, she hopes that you can make some sense of it.

After 11 Years Of Playing FFXIV, Dawntrail Finally Taught Me A Valuable Lesson About MMOs
Dawntrail has added a lot of new content to Final Fantasy 14, including dailies, hunts, jobs, and new dungeons and raids for duty roulettes.
The Elezen doesn't his name or how he ended up by Mamook. However, you have more pressing matters to deal with. You're directed to speak with Bakool Ja Ja. After that, you only have a few cutscene moments and conversations left until you receive a message that Jeuno: The First Walk is available, which is the name of the first Vana'diel section.

A Familiar System For New Raids
Like the next section of FFXIV's Arcadion raid will likely be released before more Vana'diel content. If you queue up using the Duty Finder, you'll also pick up some Allagan Tomestones, which can be used to purchase even more gear items.

10 Directions The Story Could Go After FFXIV: Dawntrail
Final Fantasy 14 has explored a lot of content over the last decade, but there are plenty of possible directions it can take in the future.
Vana'diel finally coming to Eorzea is exciting, but you might be in for a long wait depending on when you the Jeuno: The First Walk queue. Be warned that the fights in this raid include a lot of mechanics, and the chaos of these fights can be overwhelming the first few times you run it. Once you finish the raid, you probably want to continue the quests after it to prepare for when the next section is added to Final Fantasy XIV.
