An impressive collection of Tekken game was a chaotic mess to develop in the 90s, the series remains one of the genre's most iconic.

The last major game to release for the series was 2015's Tekken 7. Even though the game was a massive success, there has been no official announcement for Tekken 8 as of this writing. Tekken 7 launched with 36 characters, and the roster is now at a whopping 51 playable fighters with DLC. Some modders have decided to transform the series' many characters with several reskin mods. The results allow Final Fantasy fans to fight some of the series' most iconic heroes.

Modders have reskinned Tekken 7 on PC with some of Final Fantasy's most popular heroes, and one clip shows FF7's Tifa dominating FF15's Noctis in the ring. The clip was posted by Twitter Tifa Lockhart Tekken 7 PC mod that was released last year on the Tekken Mods website. The clip shows several reskin mods at work that also feature several other Final Fantasy 7 Remake characters'. The reskinned Tekken characters can be spotted with their new looks in the clip below while they are being punched, slammed, and kicked by Tifa. Noctis, FF15's main protagonist, was officially added to Tekken 7 through DLC. Still, many fans would have preferred the FF7 heroine be added instead.

Many Final Fantasy fans like to compare their favorite entries in the series to one another, but thanks to the mods on display, fans can settle their FF grudge matches through Tekken's brutal one-on-one battles. It turns out Final Fantasy isn't the only action RPG series fans thought Tekken's gameplay was a perfect fit for. A recent mod even impressed the game's developers when it transformed Tekken into an Elden Ring fighting game.

As technology advances and expectations rise, fighting games known for their fast-paced gameplay and precision are taking a lot longer to develop than in the past. Tekken 7 was built using Unreal Engine 4 when it was released more than seven years ago. Fans can only speculate and get excited imagining how good Tekken 8 will look if built on the stunning Unreal Engine 5. However, with no official announcement for the anticipated sequel, fans can find more enjoyment with Tekken 7 and the impressive Final Fantasy PC mods that are available.
