If Borderlands 3 knows anything, it's cool but tough Raid Bosses. With the latest Director's Cut DLC, Borderlands 3 introduces players to Hemovorous the Invincible. This giant insectoid will constantly have its name mispronounced. Everyone in the Borderlands community seems to insist on calling it 'Hemivorious', but that's okay. Because this boss is a baddie.
Regardless of how its name is pronounced, this boss is definitely one that will put up a fight. Players who are at a higher Mayhem level should also be leering, as this can really make defeating Hemovorous that much more difficult. So be sure to equip the best armor, weapons, and artifacts possible, because this is about to be a doozie.
Hemovorous the Invincible Owns Borderlands 3
Before doing anything, players need to be sure they've ed the Borderlands 3 Director's Cut DLC. Without the DLC, players won't be able to face off against this boss or enjoy the side quest that comes with it. Once that's done and players are ready to start this quest and defeat this Raid Boss, players should head over to Sanctuary. There should be an exclamation mark in Sanctuary entitled "You. Will. Die. (Over and Over.)" in ClapTraps room. This quest will lead players to Ascension Bluff in Pandora.
It's worth noting that, in Ascension Bluff on Pandora, players will notice a locked door. Since the game's release, players have been itching to get behind the door. Some players have even dedicated time to finding ways to get past the locked door with no success. With the acceptance of this new quest, players will realize they now have access to what's on the other side of the locked door. It's where the markers should take the player once the "You. Will. Die" quest was accepted.
Entering the weird door will take the player to Darkthirst Dominion. Here, players will need to pay 500 Eridium to go any further. Once inside, players are welcome to explore a bit but it's not entirely necessary. Simply follow the arrows until the player falls down a hole. Here, the player will come face-to-face with Hemovorous the Invincible.
The player should be aware of their surroundings the entire time during this fight. There are a number of varkids running around that are definitely aiming for the player. Additionally, there are mysterious eggs that will hatch and gun for the player. The mysterious egg contains the Hemovorous Larva. To free the Hemovorous Larva, players should gun down the egg the best they can. Continue to attack the Hemovorous enemy throughout its life stages. This includes the Larva, Adult, Badass, and Superbadass Hemovorous.
Although the battle will be hard-fought (and you will die, over and over), this raid boss will also drop some great goodies that are definitely worth picking up, including some exclusive Legendary drops. Items such as the Atlas Replay (Legendary Pistol), Iconic Disruptor (Legendary Sniper), Ringer (Legendary grenade), and the Vladof Company Man (Legendary artifact) are all on the table to be picked up. The drop rates for these items is around 25% to 35% based on the players' finds up until now. Additionally, the Vladof Company Man seems to be the only Legendary that seems like a certain drop for this battle (depending on the players' data). Players are able to farm the hell out of Hemovorous to farm all the Legendary items available. to turn that Mayhem level up and get rolling!
Borderlands 3 is now available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
