One of the most fun aspects of special raid battles against legendary Pokemon in order to catch them.
One Pokemon that never seems to stay in the game for very long is Darkrai. This Pokemon is a part of the fourth generation of Pokemon and was first introduced in Diamond and Pearl. This mythical Dark-type Pokemon is very popular among fans, and it was a no-brainer to include it in Pokemon Go. Its first appearance in the game was during the Halloween event last year, but it has made appearances as a Raid Boss a few times since. This guide shows players how to catch Darkrai.
Pokemon Go: How to Catch Darkrai
The issue with a Pokemon like Darkrai is that players are incapable of finding it out in the wild. Instead, Darkrai can only be encountered during specific raid battles. Players will need to wait until Darkrai is being used as part of a Raid Battle event again before the Pokemon can be encountered. In order to engage in these events, players will need to either purchase Raid es from the store or pick a free one up from a PokeStop.
Once players have a Raid and have found a Darkrai raid battle, they will need to defeat the Pokemon in combat before they are able to catch it. Darkrai is a straight Dark-type which means that it is susceptible to Fighting, Bug, and Fairy-Type Pokemon. Fighting-Types will probably be the player's biggest go to as they are pretty abundant and powerful in Pokemon Go. If players use on like Machamp they will have no problems knocking out a sizable portion of Darkrai's health. Players can also use a bug-type like Scizor, because its X-Scissor attack will be extremely useful here. Finally, if players can manage to track down some Fairy-Types they will be incredibly useful, but this may prove difficult as this type is pretty rare.
Once players have managed to defeat Darkrai they will be given a certain number of premier balls depending on their performance. Players will only be able to catch Darkrai using these balls, so players should make sure they do as well as they possibly can during the fight.
Pokemon Go can be played on iOS and Android.
