The world of Fire Power is getting even more dangerous, as the next story arc for the Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics series will see a legendary dragon rise, the world comes under threat, and a new character emerging amidst the chaos. In a brand new preview for Fire Power #19 by Robert Kirkman, Chris Samnee, Matt Wilson, and Rus Wooton, the story will follow up on the revelation that the legend of the dragon is true.
Fire Power is the critically acclaimed ongoing series from the superstar creative team of creators Robert Kirkman and Chris Samnee, with Matt Wilson and Rus Wooton. Kirkman is the writer responsible for co-creating some of comics' most popular series, including The Walking Dead, Invincible, and Oblivion Song. Samnee is an Eisner-award-winning artist best known for his work on Daredevil and Thor: The Mighty Avenger. Matt Wilson, whose extensive work includes Eternals and Thor, colors the series, with Eisner-nominated letter Rus Wooton on letters. Originally debuting in 2020, follows Owen Johnson, the wielder of the Fire Power, being forced to face his destiny and the deadly trouble and dangers that come with it.
We've got a brand new look at Fire Power #19 by Kirkman, Samnee, Wilson, and Wooton, as the story will directly follow the shocking reveal of the dragon from the previous issue. We've got a four-page preview of Fire Power #19 by Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics, which shows the dragon flying high as Owen and the others watch from inside nearby caves.
Here's the small synopsis for Fire Power #19, which teases the arrival of Master Shun: "The legends are true. The dragon is real. The world is in danger. All this and INTRODUCING: MASTER SHUN!"
Fire Power #19 will feature four covers, including the main one seen above by Samnee and Wilson. Additionally, the comic will have variant covers from David Finch and Dave McCaig, Jeff Smith and Tom Gaadt, as well as the first of a giant connecting variant from Kim Jung Gi and Pyeongiun Park.
For readers of Fire Power who couldn't believe the reveal at the end of issue 18 a few months ago, the 19th issue seems to be well worth the wait. The new arc of Fire Power (#19) from Kirkman, Samnee, Wilson, and Wooton will arrive in comic book stores and digital retailers on April 6, 2022.
