Chaos Fragments are a unique crafting material in The First Berserker: Khazan that is used to craft items from the Chaos-Ridden Set. The Chaos-Ridden Set is among the best Greatsword sets in the game, unlocking the unique Volcanic Wrath ability once you have all six pieces of the set equipped. As with all crafting sets and materials in The First Berserker: Khazan, you can farm a specific boss multiple times to acquire the requisite materials for the Chaos-Ridden Set, aka Chaos Fragments.

To unlock the Chaos-Ridden Set and be able to craft its various pieces at the Blacksmith in The First Berserker: Khazan, you'll first need to track down the Chaos-Ridden Scroll. This can be found during the "Final Conquest" mission in the Abandoned Citadel in Nadin Quarry. Once you've picked it up, you'll have the option to craft items from the Chaos-Ridden Set, including the Chaos-Ridden Greatsword, Helm, Pauldrons, Gauntlet, Leggings, and Shoes, but only if you have Chaos Fragments available.

Where To Get Chaos Fragments

Dropped Randomly From Maluca

Chaos Fragments are a special material in The First Berserker: Khazan, which are crafting materials that can be farmed from particular bosses for specific gear sets. Chaos Fragments are randomly dropped by Maluca in First Berserker: Khazan, who is one of the tougher bosses in the mid-game. Maluca will only drop Chaos Fragment sometimes, so it may take repeated attempts to gather the Chaos Fragments needed for the entire set. This is the primary method for getting Chaos Fragments, and Maluca is found during the "Veiled Knives" mission in Nadin Quarry.

Three Chaos Fragments can also be purchased from the Jarling vendor, Danjin, for 41,300 Lacrima. You'll need to find 27 Jarlings total to purchase these, however, so be sure to smash all the jars you come across as you explore and venture through each area. There is typically only one Jarling in each area, so it may take you some time to unlock all 27 to be able to pick up the additional three Chaos Fragments.

The other three Chaos Fragments I came across were much later in the main campaign during the "Strange Melody" mission. This is right before you encounter Princess Ilyna, yet another extremely tough boss in First Berserker: Khazan. You can find three Chaos Fragments in the Banquet Hall Entrance section of Rovelion Imperial Theater in the Heart of Pell Los region. The Chaos Fragments are found near a statue after defeating a Beast of Rampage.

Take your Chaos Fragments to Qazumaka the Blacksmith, and you can craft items for the Chaos-Ridden Set. You'll need at least one Chaos Fragment per item you want to craft from the set, and if you want a higher-level version of these items, you'll have to break down your gear and track down some more Chaos Fragments. The Chaos-Ridden Set has six pieces, each with its own unique fixed attribute.

The Chaos-Ridden Set is ideal for a Greatsword build that incorporates the regular use of Brink Guard.

Overall, Chaos Fragments are one of the many different special materials acquired in The First Berserker: Khazan, which is used to craft one of the best Greatsword gear sets in the game. You can find these by defeating Maluca in Nadin Quarry, purchasing them from the Jarling vendor, or locating a few in the Rovelion Imperial Theater. While Chaos Fragments are relatively rare, they are well worth tracking down if you want to craft the Chaos-Ridden Set.
