Shactuka is among the largest enemies you've likely faced so far in The First Berserker: Khazan and has one of the highest health bars of any enemy in the game up to this point. Shactuka is a massive lion beast sort of enemy with a huge spiked collar and some slow but deadly attacks. His attacks can cause Plague buildup, and you're going to want to go into this fight with some Plague-resistance potions and elixirs for the best odds at taking Shactuka down.

Shactuka is the ninth major the nimble Elamein, his attacks are absolutely brutal, and the timing for his slow swings is so delayed that it's somewhat difficult to time your counters and/or Reflections. For this fight, you'll need to be patient and wait for Shactuka's heavy, slow swings and chomps to get an opportunity to drain his stamina and health. After taking Shactuka down, you'll be rewarded with two random pieces from the Beastslayer Set and potentially a Beast's Jawbone special crafting material.

Where To Find Shactuka In First Berserker: Khazan

Shactuka Is Found At The Execution Ground Entrance

Shactuka is found at the end of Linon Mine during the "Inconceivable Truth" mission, where Khazan is on a quest to save his loyal lieutenant and dear friend, Yulian. This is a level 69 mission, and there are six different areas in the Linon Mine you'll have to navigate before reaching the Execution Ground Entrance.

The best spear build for The First Berserker: Khazan incorporates the Deep Shadow and Crushed Dreams sets and invests in Willpower & Proficiency.

You'll get a decent clue about what's in store with Shactuka based on each map's various plague-ridden environmental hazards and obstacles. Be sure to stock up on Plague Cleanse Potions and Plague Resistance Elixirs before traveling into areas such as the Underground Shaft and the Cave of Gloom. Boost your Vitality to enhance your overall resistances, as this will come in extremely useful for all future regions and bosses.

How To Defeat Shactuka

Strike When Shactuka Is Exposed & Wait For His Wind-Up Attacks

Shactuka is a giant beast of a boss, and he has somewhat belabored attacks, but don't let those fool you. He deals massive damage and will drain your stamina bar quickly if you try to block his swings. He will also pounce on you and lift you into the air with his bite, dealing plague buildup in the process. You'll want to drink up some Plague elixir before entering the fight to mitigate this a bit.

If Khazan exhausts his stamina while his Plague status is maxed out, all actions are canceled, and he will start vomiting blood.

Shactuka will lunge at you, but he will gear up for a pounce beforehand, which is a signal for you to gear up for a Brink Guard or Reflection. You'll start to notice his flailing attacks where he loses his footing and ends up toppled over on his side. Take advantage of these moments to get as much damage as you can with combo attacks or Potent Blows.

Shactuka will pounce past you at times before coming in for a powerful swing, providing another opportunity to get a decent stamina-depleting guard or Reflection in. Ultimately, this fight is all about patience and waiting for the opportunities when Shactuka isn't jumping around frantically. You can get a nice Reflection in when he lunges in for a bite attack.

Rewards For Beating Shactuka

The Beastslayer Set Is An Excellent Dual Wield Gear Set

First Berserker Khazan Beastslayer set

Once you finally defeat Shactuka, you'll be rewarded with a lot of Lacrima (36,414 to be exact) as well as some gold, a random item like a weapon or accessory, and two random pieces from the Beastslayer Set. There's also a chance Shactuka will drop the Beast's Jawbone, which is the special crafting material needed to craft the Beastslayer set pieces. This set is a Dual Wield gear set with some incredible features that enhance the Whirlwind Dual Wield skill substantially. I highly recommend this set for any Dual Wield build if there aren't any more attractive alternatives.

Volbaino is the 4th boss in The First Berserker: Khazan and is found at the end of a village, who players will have to beat to progress the story.

Overall, Shactuka is a pretty tough customer, and you'll have to spend some time getting used to his slow yet unpredictable movements. Once you get the timing down, Reflections, Brink Guards, and Counter-Attacks are all extremely effective against Shactuka, draining his stamina so you can get in some mean combos before a brutal attack. Take full advantage of Shactuka's stumbling and tumbling, and you'll be able to put another notch in your belt for having defeated yet another incredibly difficult boss in The First Berserker: Khazan.
