Security Breach, the drama actually took place within the span of one night in the pizzaplex, which could only mean more than double the scares. Additionally, instead of the player being cooped up in a security office, the player gets to venture throughout the megaplex, which is more reminiscent of similar horror-style games
Security Breach not only presents a difference in duration but fans are also introduced to several new characters as well, whether it's animatronics or the boy fans actually play as, Gregory. Although the newest game wasn't created in quite the same fashion as the previous games, Security Breach still provides many different opportunities to be spooked.
First Encounter With Freddy's Friends
It's worth noting how relevant and scary Five Nights At Freddy's is by the way it highlights fun and fear at the same time, much like Chuck E. Cheese simultaneously excites and scares kids with its creepy animatronics. The first time players of the game are introduced to Freddy's band was during the delightful musical introduction of the game, however, Gregory's encounter with the bunch was quite different.
When Gregory is left to defend himself while Freddy is finished recharging, the boy is met with Monty breaking down the gate and chasing him down the hallway, then enters Roxy from the other end of the hall, and finally Chica once he makes it a bit further up the stairs before locking himself in a security office. This part of the level is the player's first real nail-biter moment, as Gregory has to race against the clock to stay safe, or he gets caught and it's game over.
The Daycare Attendant
Once it was time for Gregory to retrieve the daycare and head there, he was first met with Sundrop. While incredibly annoying and clingy, at least the sun character wasn't out to hurt Gregory. On the other hand, once the lights turned off, its evil alter-ego of sorts, Moondrop, emerged from the darkness, wanting revenge.
Between Moondrop's eerie and grungy voice to the way it prances around, spinning its head round and round, this animatronic is by far one of the scariest animatronics in Five Nights At Freddy's. What's even worse is knowing Gregory has no choice but to turn on all of the generators in the play area, or else he will end up in the hands of Moondrop.
Making Chica's Pizza
While the task itself isn't entirely difficult, it is especially nerve-wracking to navigate the dimly-lit kitchen, between the loud ticking of the timer and the door power meter decreasing at a semi-quickly rate. In the meantime, the player can hear Chica's catchphrases drawing nearer and nearer, alerting Gregory that she is approaching.
In order to distract Chica for the next few minutes, the player knows it's vital that the pizza is made efficiently. However, even when done correctly, it's easy for the player to believe they have failed the mission once Chica makes it into the kitchen, as she gets in Gregory's face for a semi-jumpscare.
Spotting Vanny Bunny
Gregory first spots Vanny while in the charging chamber with Freddy. The terrifying bunny slowly skips by, causing a strange supernatural reaction to the environment around him.
The most shocking discovery is made when Freddy informs Gregory that there hasn't been a rabbit at the mega pizzaplex in a long time, which insinuates that what he witnessed was a ghost. The scariest part about her is players can always sense when she's coming, as Gregory's vision begins to distort and a loud ringing is heard.
Chica's Voicebox
Throughout the majority of the game, Chica seems to be the main culprit in stalking Gregory around the pizzaplex. When an opportunity arose for players to hit Chica while she was distracted, they took it.
Gregory was able to shove her in there, despite experiencing a few close calls, but the job was finally done. While players of the game loved having the chance to rip Chica's voicebox out once and for all, it was quite a terrifying sight to see Chica's face compressed in the garbage disposal and hear her high-pitched screams in the process.
Dodging The DJ Boss Man
It's no secret that the DJ Music Man is fearsome with his spider-like features and larger-than-life-size, and it's even more terrifying watching him chase after Gregory. Though Freddy told Gregory that he was nice, the information didn't mean much coming from a source that commonly befriends other crazy animatronics.
During the "Report Robot Head" mission, Gregory must attempt to reset the various breakers scattered throughout the arcade, but the most intense part by far is having the DJ chase him in the process. With the DJ music loudly bumping and the large creature trying to play tag with Gregory and throw obstacles in his way, it's definitely one of those moments that gets players' hearts beating out of their chests.
Roxy's Raceway
Roxanne Wolf was an unexpectedly intimidating new addition to the franchise, and her insecure and unhinged behavior definitely made her a force to be reckoned with. When it came time for Gregory to return the bot head and find a way to collect Roxy's eyeballs, he headed for her raceway.
At the end of the mission, Gregory managed to flip one of the racecars over onto Roxy, rendering her "unconscious," which gave him the perfect opportunity to take out her eyes to give to Freddy. What makes this circumstance frightening, though, is seeing Roxy continue to operate throughout the game as a blind animatronic. Though she was without eyes, that didn't stop her from coming after Gregory full force and becoming even more emotionally unstable in a new and even scarier way with her frequent breakdowns and harsh threats.
Monty Golf
Although a newcomer, Montgomery Gator made a name for himself in Security Breach by becoming one of the most intimidating animatronics of the group. Between his deep growls and his near superspeed, it was clear that he was quite aggressive and out for blood.
By heading over to Monty Golf, Gregory knew what he had to do in order to destroy Monty: fill the massive splash bucket in order to crush the animatronic. However, this minigame was no small feat, and it was quite difficult for fans to shoot hole-in-ones, all while watching out for Monty attempting to chase Gregory down at an alarming rate. By winning the game, the player was then able to successfully decommission Monty and collect his claws for Freddy.
Disassemble Freddy
If fans chose to pick the Vanny ending, they were able to discover quite a shocking plot involving the mysterious bunny. In the storyline, Vanny was responsible for Freddy's devastating death by ordering the bots to tear him limb from limb.
In an act of vengeance, Gregory was able to make his way to Vanny's hideout and order the bots to then disassemble her. Though Gregory was able to get his revenge on the vicious rabbit, there was nothing he could do to help Freddy at that point, which is quite a dark ending in and of itself.
Glitchtrap Canon Ending
Those that closely follow the Five Nights At Freddy's lore know that Glitchtrap is simply the ghost of William Afton trapped in a mangled Bonnie suit. The moment fans see the mutilated animatronic emerge from the charging chamber was a moment that provoked major goosebumps.
In arguably the most frightening scenes of them all, we see Afton possess Freddy, leaving Gregory to defend the room from further threats while he tries to fight against this force taking him over. Much like other terrifying horror games, the possession caused the FNAF game to somehow take an even darker turn than what fans of the franchise are used to. Luckily, Gregory and Freddy fight off the boss, for now, and manage to make an escape together. One thing is for sure, and that's the fact that fans are very eager to see what happens to the duo in the next sequel game.
