Barry Allen has been running the gauntlet lately. While he's currently dealing with the The Flash series, and possibly even more more dangerous ones at that. Dr. Alchemy is returning to take on the Flash in November, along with an all-new creative team coming to the series.

Currently, The Flash is being written by Joshua Williamson with art by Clayton Henry. Barry has been hounded by the Legion of Zoom, a collection of Flash's greatest rogues and foes that have been pulled throughout time by Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash. with them ready to take the fight to the false Flash.

However the arc with Thawne and the Legion of Zoom plays out, it will come to an end after The Flash #762, and new arc will begin with new writer Kevin Shinick taking over the creative reigns from Williamson. His first big arc will feature the return of Dr. Alchemy, who will apparently have found a way to defeat Flash once and for all using brains and wits as much as power. • In the final showdown with Dr. Alchemy, the Flash’s powers prove almost useless and his intellect outmatched! How can Barry Allen beat a foe who thinks three steps ahead? The Fastest Man Alive will have to play catchup—but it may not be enough to save himself or Central City.

How is Barry Allen supposed to stop someone who can't be stopped with speed and can't be outwitted? It seems as though this will lead to new regions of untapped power from the Speed Force Barry has yet to implement. Time will tell, but The Flash #766 can't come quickly enough.
