The "One Minute War" is the newest storyline for The Flash, as Barry Allen, Wally West, Jay Garrick, and more speedsters are dealing with an attack from speedster aliens who are looking to conquer the planet. The whole arc is set to take place over 60 seconds, which is a lot of time for heroes and villains with super-speed powers. Iris West being killed in The Flash #790 is one of the more shocking moments from the current arc of The Flash. However, the cliffhanger doesn't definitively state that she is dead, even if it sure appears to be the case. Considering the time-travel shenanigans of The Flash, it would be surprising to see Iris West actually die in any permanent way. She's too important to the Flash-Family to be killed off for good.
If Barry Allen ever needed a reason to stop a group of villains, the death of Iris West will certainly give him more than enough motivation to stop The Fraction and end the "One Minute War" before more of the Flash-Family falls to the aliens attack. The Flash #790 by DC Comics is in comic book stores now.
