Linda Says that the Flash Has No Limits DC

Terrific notes that being in space puts Wally at a disadvantage, but he's not entirely helpless as the corrupted Flash still manages to fly using his Speed Force aura. But while Wally fights Clark, Green Arrow hits Wally with a time-stopping arrow.

The Flash Can Fly By Using His Speed Force Aura Correctly

With Focus, Wally West's Speed Enables Him to Fly

Flash and Superman Fight DC

While Wally is far from the only person in the DC Universe to have been blessed by the Speed Force, he's spent the better part of his life trying to understand the mysterious energy source. The hero's research paid off considerably as Wally used what he learned about his powers and applied them in ways that made him stand out from the rest of DC's numerous speedsters. The Flash has learned to create force fields and costumes out of Speed Force energy, master instant transportation, and even found a way for him to peer into the hidden layers of reality.

Granted, it's far easier for the Flash to run than it is for him to fly, which is what Mister Terrific was counting on by bringing Wally into space. But just because it's hard for Wally doesn't mean it's impossible. Even in a zero-gravity environment, the Flash still manages to use his aura so that he can move wherever he needs to go (not to mention still be fast enough to take on Superman). While it’s not a move that Wally relies on in every situation, his hidden flight ability shows how innovative the Flash really is with his powers.

The Flash's Flight Represents How Creative Wally West Really Is

There's Nothing the Scarlet Speedster Can't Do

Granted, just because Wally capable of flight, that doesn't mean he's going to do it all the time. But this extension of his speed is only possible because the Flash is just that creative and dedicated to refining his powers. That's not to say the rest of the Flash Family are slackers, but Wally has a brilliant mind, and he loves challenging himself and pushing his powers beyond the limits of what most people think speedsters can do. While he won't be zipping by in the skies anytime soon, the Flash's hidden flying abilities show what he's really capable of.
