Fortnite fan has leaked the pickaxes and back blings that are set to accompany skins depicting Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and the Taskmaster. These skins were themselves leaked last week on December 16th, and the leaker promised that pickaxes and back blings would be involved. As of the time of this writing, Epic Games has not officially confirmed these skins.

It might be surprising to fans to see more Marvel characters arriving in Fortnite. The world-famous comic book brand was the focus of chapter 2 season 4, a major crossover event that saw numerous Marvel heroes arriving in the iconic battle royale. Over the course of the season, fans saw a lot of Marvel content arrive in-game, including skins, weapons, superpowers, and special missions and areas themed after the superheroes. This event culminated in a massive climactic event which saw the game's huge player base facing off against Galactus himself and flying battle buses into the planet eater's mouth. The event brought a record number of players to the game; 15.3 million concurrent players hopped online to take down the behemoth.

Fortnite is no stranger to crossovers, and even after the end of the Marvel event, the game is bringing in familiar faces from across pop culture. Season 5 emphasizes this by revolving around "bounty hunters," characters collected from all sorts of video games, movies, and TV shows. A lot of Fortnite fans have been waiting for a Black Panther skin for a while. Many believe it would be a good way to Marvel's Avengers video game has given him a bit more attention. All three characters are sure to be welcome additions to the Fortnite roster, back bling and all.
