Epic Games have officially launched the Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 2 event, which will see the return of the iconic map and points of interest from 2017-2018. A host of nostalgic features will be available in the gamemode between January 31 to March 25, along with a dedicated OG Battle with vintage Outfits.
The second iteration of the Fortnite OG event comes after the huge popularity of its first addition at the end of 2023, with millions of players logging in to experience the origins of the battle royale sensation. Its success saw the OG game mode return as an Fortnite Ballistic and events like Remix: The Finale.
OG Loot, Like The Boogie Bomb, Is Back In Fortnite OG
The Loot Pool Will Expand Throughout The Event
Longtime fans of Fortnite will be happy to see the return of iconic loot that defined the early days of the battle royale game. Players will once again be able to equip the Boogie Bomb, a fan-favorite throwable that will force enemies (or even squates) into a frenzied dance, leaving the adversaries vulnerable to attacks. As Epic has stated in their blog post unveiling the Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 2 event, "Throw this funky orb into the fray to unleash a momentary, disco-fueled dance party on your foes."

An All-New Battle Has Arrived In Fortnite OG

Complementing the return of classic loot in Fortnite OG is the introduction of a new OG , which will offer 45 tiers of rewards which are all based on aspects of the late 2017 Fortnite experience. Skins and items that are reminiscent of Fortnite, XP can be obtained in any Fortnite experience to claim the rewards.
