Found season 2, episode 18 "Missing While Heather," airs Thursday, April 10 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC. The installment picks up after a revelation surrounding Found's new recurring character. There have been musings about Sir's half-sister, Lena, but no one has been able to put a face to the name. However, "Missing While Manipulated" saw Margaret use her superpowers to determine that Danielle Savre's character had been Sir's secret sibling all along.

Heather was first introduced as a romantic interest for Trent, but it felt inevitable that she would play a bigger role in the story. The couple clashes when Heather becomes Sir's attorney, resulting in their split. However, while she may have used Trent as a way to infiltrate Mosely & Associates, Savre believes her character may have developed real feelings for the officer. The actor teases that there's more to Heather than meets the eye, noting that she is also a victim of Sir's manipulation.

Lena Has Been Manipulated By Sir Her Entire Life

"Will Gabi be able to have comion for Lena when the time comes?"

Heather looking at Trent in Found season 2, episode 18

ScreenRant: When you were cast, did you know you were playing Sir's sister?

Danielle Savre: No, I had no idea. I knew that this character had more than met the eye. I definitely knew there was something there and there were some layers. I thought she was just going to come on as a lawyer because my audition scenes were more lawyer-based. I had a sass and wit and the whole thing, which now I'm realizing, in hindsight, was very much Hugh-esque. It was like the Trent scene and a lawyer scene.

And so I was like, "Oh, maybe they're going to bring me on to be Trent's love interest, kind of a love triangle thing, and be a lawyer." But I was like, "There's definitely more to her than meets the eye." And then my first day filming, I got done filming with [Brett] Dalton, and they're like, Mark-Paul [Gosselaar] wants to talk to you. And so he knocks on my trailer door, and he's just like, "Hi sister." And I was like, "Oh my God!" And the crew was also so invested, so they kept telling me, "Do you know who you are? Because I think we know who you are."

And I was like, "Don't tell me! I don't want to know! Until NK, the creator, tells me, I don't want to know!" But it was hard to avoid because everybody had all their predictions and stuff going on, and the scenes just got more and more suspicious and layered. And then she finally let me know, officially, the whole backstory and everything Lena-Heather had done prior to the episode.

I was also going to ask you that because there's obviously a backstory that we don't know about. Will we learn more about Lena in the episodes?

Danielle Savre: I think you're going to get to see more of the dynamic with her brother, because the show is about missing children. You have to fill in the blanks to some extent, and that's good. But say the relationship between Lena or Heather and Trent really played out off camera. And so there's a world where you're going to get inklings to the relationship between Lena and Hugh, but we're not going to get all the details.

But maybe if there's a season 3, we'll get more details then. But I do think you're going to get to see more of the brother-sister dynamic versus this kind of weird, more-than-meets-the-eye, lawyer-client relationship that wasn't really giving us much and was very much restrained. Now you're going to get to see between these siblings who really pulls the strings, who really is in control, or who thinks they're in control because one person's in jail and one person's not.

But as the season goes on, you'll get to see how manipulated, maybe, Lena has been by her brother. She's been under Hugh's control since she's been a kid, since she's a baby. So in a sense, is she herself a victim to Sir? And does that make her and Gabi have more similarities than differences? And will Gabi be able to have comion for Lena when the time comes? Or will she just look at Lena as a villain? I think you're going to get to see a lot of things unravel, but I don't know if you'll get the full backstory.

I've built up the backstory in my head, and I've had to have Lena be committed in what she's doing. She believes Hugh is innocent. She believes Gabi is the villain. I think there's starting to be some cracks in that thinking. But for the most part she believes he was innocent, and she needs to protect and save her brother because she's been manipulated by him her whole life.

Heather's Relationship With Trent Was Likely Real

"To me, that lends itself to, 'She really has feelings for this guy.'"

Heather and Trent looking at each other in Found season 2, episode 18

You also mentioned Trent. Was Heather's goal to drive a wedge between him and Gabi? Did she maybe catch some feelings in the process?

Danielle Savre: I definitely think she caught some feelings. As an actor, that's how I'm playing it. Because she's not really using Trent now to get any information. I guess she kind of stumbles upon information now when she sees him every once in a while, or will in the next episode. But she's not actively using Trent to get intel or to get to people.

She's visiting Trent because she wants to convince him that she's right and Gabi's a bad person. And to me, that lends itself to, she really has feelings for this guy, and she's trying to convince him, "I'm not the bad guy in this situation. You're reading the room wrong. Gabi's bad. Gabi's the villain." So I think she absolutely has feelings.

I don't think she realizes what those feelings are, because I don't think this woman really knows what caring and love is. Her whole life has been built on kind of a conditional love with her brother. I think she's kind of confused as to what these feelings are she's having towards Trent, but she knows she has to convince him that she's good and Gabi's bad.

Mark-Paul wasn't just playing your brother. You had him as the director for the episode with your big reveal.

Danielle Savre: It was so much fun. I actually got more nervous with him. [Laughs] You always get excited, but I got super nervous being directed by Mark-Paul, maybe because I grew up watching him on TV too, as Zack Morris. My sister loved Saved By the Bell, so I always watched it too with her. Maybe there was this moment of like, "Oh my God, this is so weird. What a strange moment." [Laughs]

But it was only that one little scene. So I only got to do that one scene with him. I'm glad I got to do any scenes with him because I always really like working with a lot of directors, but I really like working with actor-directors. They tend to have a very good understanding of how to talk to actors. That just goes hand in hand.

So it was great getting directed by him, and it was fun. A little nerve-wracking too because every scene I've had is across the room for me, and we're getting to play, and they call "action". There's no real nerves there because they're your scene partner, but now he's essentially a boss telling me what to do. I got very nervous.

Savre Was Shocked By An Episode Of Found Season 2

"How they actually unravel this and pull the thread and show how things play out is [something] I never saw coming."

Gabi at the prison with Sir in Found season 2, episode 18

The promo for Episode 18 shows some type of prison break. How exactly may Heather fit into everything going on? I'm a little bit suspicious.

Danielle Savre: I'm not going to give anything away [laughs]. I just think from here on out to the end of the season, nothing you think is going to happen is what actually is going to happen. There are so many twists and turns, and the writers of the show have done such a brilliant job of keeping you on your toes the entire time.

Even I gasped at one of the big reveals that happens in a couple of episodes. Even I couldn't guess it. I think a lot of people guessed I was Sir's sister, but how they actually unravel this and pull the thread and show how things play out is [something] I never saw coming. So I can say that at least, but it's going to be exciting.

Do you have a favorite episode since you've wrapped season 2?

Danielle Savre: I really enjoy the next one just because of the dynamic switch, and I had a lot of meat to work with in regards to dialogue. So as an actor, I selfishly loved the next one. It's called "Missing While Heather." It really shows a lot. I got to dive the most into Lena in this episode than I did any of the other episodes.

But the second to the last episode, the build-up to the finale, and it was Demane Davis who directed it, who directed me on Station 19 too, and is one of my mentors. That episode was so much fun to shoot. Less about the backstory of Lena and Hugh, but more just action-packed fun and kind of shocking.
