NBC’s Found gained an audience in 2023 and earned a quick season 2 renewal, but the series is not having the same luck for season 3. Found centers on Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton) and her team, each with their own special skill set, as they track down missing people that often get overlooked. Alongside their cases of the week, Found also unveils the traumas that have brought the group together and how they inform their investigations.
Season 2 introduced some new characters and new mysteries for the audience. Many of those mysteries were tied up in season 2 while new ones began. Several cliffhangers were left at the end of season 2 that set up stories for Found season 3, but it is unclear if fans will get to see those stories play out.

Found Season 3 Latest News
Found Has Been Canceled
The latest Found season 3 news is that there will not be a season 3 of the NBC series. NBC announced the cancellation of Found just before the season 2 finale aired on the network. The cancellation comes on the heels of Found losing viewers in season 2.
While season 1 aired on Tuesday nights and averaged just over 3 million viewers per episode (via TV Series Finale), NBC shifted the series to Thursday nights for the second season. With the stiff competition of ABC’s Thursday night lineup, Found averaged just over 2 million viewers per episode for the season (via TV Series Finale). The loss of nearly one-third of its audience in the sophomore season likely did not seem like a good omen for the network.

I Can't Believe It, But Found Season 2 Might Be Setting Up Sir's Redemption
Found season 2 began by upping the ante on just how much of a threat Sir poses to M&A, but there’s a chance he’s now set up to become a true ally.
Found Season 3 Is Not Confirmed
Found Could Be Shopped To Another Network
Though a third season of Found is not confirmed, all hope is not lost for the fans of the series. Warner Bros. is looking to shop the series to other networks and streaming services. Though a TV show being saved by another network is rare, it can happen. Netflix picked up Lucifer after Fox canceled it, ABC picked up 9-1-1 after it was canceled by Fox, and Law & Order: Organized Crime moved to Peacock from NBC instead of being canceled.
Found season 2 concluded on May 15, 2025.
Found Season 3 Cast Details
The Cast Would Remain Intact
Found centers on Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton) and her friends and coworkers at Mosely and Associates. M&A works to find the missing people that are often overlooked by the authorities, and the group would have remained intact heading into Found season 3 since none of the lives of the main cast were left hanging in the balance when season 2 ended.
One life that was left hanging in the balance was that of Hugh, or as the show most often refers to him, Sir, played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar. The man who kidnapped Gabi as a teenager has been in prison for much of season 2, and it would seem one of his enemies finally caught up with him since he had a major head injury in the season finale. Showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll, in an interview before Found’s cancellation, assured Screen Rant that Sir would still be a huge part of season 3.
Likely to be upped to series regular if Found season 3 moved forward, would be Parker Queenan as Jamie. Margaret’s missing son reemerged in season 2, and working with M&A has become a part of his healing process, much like it has for most of the main characters.
The main cast of Found season through would have included:

What’s less clear is whether Danielle Savre who appears as Heather AKA Lena in season 2 would have been back in Found season 3. Though Carroll told Screen Rant how much they enjoyed having the actor involved in the show, with her character arrested at the end of the season, it’s not clear if she would have recurred again throughout the season.

How The Found Season 2 Finale Set Up Season 3
Found Season 3 Has A Lot Of Cliffhangers To Pick Up
Found season 2's finale was not filmed with the knowledge that the series would be coming to an end. As a result, the season 2 finale is filled with a lot of set up for Found season 3.
It is teased throughout season 2 that Sir has been in with Trent’s father, and that his father’s career might have involved looking the other way or even outright covering up a few things. That is hinted at again when Sir calls and leaves the man a message in the season 2 finale. Found season 3 would have needed to unravel more of the mystery concerning Trent’s family legacy with the police department, especially after Trent was willing to lose his badge if it meant helping Margaret find Jamie when he was kidnapped a second time.
Margaret and Gabi were able to find Jamie after Lena kidnapped him, though Jamie had already managed to get the upper hand on Lena. His ability to understand coded messages from his mother and Gabi, as well as his own “Margaret vision,” demonstrates that he likely could have been an asset to M&A in season 3 since Gabi might not have been with them.
It would have certainly changed up the dynamic for the storylines and been a way to keep the series fresh.
The season 2 finale teed up more backstory for Dhan, which would have been explored in season 3 since backstories for Gabi, Lacey, and Margaret have been thoroughly explored already, but it also teased Gabi paying for her own crimes. Gabi’s press conference announcing Jamie’s safe return ended with her announcing that she had kidnapped Sir and held him in her basement for nine months. Announcing it publicly means that law enforcement would have no choice but to take that as a public confession and prosecute her.
Gabi likely would have been on trial or preparing for prison time in season 3, meaning there would be a separation between her and her team. The team would have had to work cases without her or visit her behind bars to consult with her, much the same way she consulted with Sir in the first season of the show. It would have certainly changed up the dynamic for the storylines and been a way to keep the series fresh.
Found season 3 also likely would have stuck to its case of the week format alongside the overarching story of exploring healing after trauma. Those cases would have also continued to explore the stories of marginalized and overlooked populations.
