The six core characters of Friends all have individual personalities, but that's what makes them so great together. The series lasted for 10 seasons and it never got boring because audiences weren't watching six people who were all exactly the same as each other.
Every character has their individual charms and characteristics that win over the audience. But for Phoebe, it's her unique quirks that make her so brilliant. Her past is the most interesting out of the cast and her approach to life is inspiring. There are so many quotes and scenes from Phoebe which are hilarious to watch, and that has produced some of the funniest episodes.
The One Where Everybody Finds Out
With plenty of quotes that prove Chandler and Monica are perfect for each other, "The One Where Everybody Finds Out" outed Monica and Chandler's secret of falling in love with each other. But before the big reveal, Phoebe had to turn on her charm in an attempt to get Chandler to confess by openly flirting with him until he had no choice but to it to his feelings for Monica.
The episode is great in itself because both Chandler and Phoebe keep upping the ante, but Phoebe goes the extra mile by dancing in front of him. For some, a seductive dance would be kind of subtle, but Phoebe's outlandish moves were ridiculously funny to watch, making it stand out as one of her most humorous episodes.
The One Where Phoebe Runs
Friends incorporates scenes where a few of the group will break off and do something without the others. Running was the activity for Rachel and Phoebe to do together, just as many friends would in daily life. Typically, this would be a pretty simple exercise without much of a fuss.
Not for Phoebe though. Her run is something that most people wouldn't encounter in their lives and that's precisely what makes it so fantastic to watch. Phoebe has no qualms about being herself around other people and that's what viewers love about her. Rachel however, found it embarrassing, but it doesn't stop Phoebe from giving audiences a good laugh.
The One With Joey's New Girlfriend
All of Phoebe's jobs in Friends make for great episodes, but her singing ability doesn't exactly put her on par with the likes of Celine Dion or Beyonce. But there's no denying, she sings with ion and with lyrics that are very memorable. When she discovers that a cold makes her sound sultry and intriguing, she tries her best to keep the sickness after it had gone.
Not only does Phoebe's voice change when she has the cold, but it also causes her to adopt a completely different persona and performance style, which she thinks fits with her new sound. The humor comes from the fact that she'd choose to be ill and also that it strangely makes her feel more confident.
The One With Princess Consuela
Most people carry out ordinary tasks without turning them into something different. Not Phoebe. After marrying Mike, she goes to change her surname.
When she gets to changing it, she finds out that she can literally make her name anything she wants. For the creative and imaginative Phoebe, that's perfect. She didn't choose a regular name, but instead went with 'Princess Consuela Banana Hammock.' It's outrageously brilliant and so funny because audiences had no idea what name she picked. After hearing it, the episode just gets funnier and funnier, because of how ridiculous the name is and how uncomfortable it makes Mike.
The One With Joey's New Brain
Sometimes an episode might not revolve around a character who has a smaller amount of screen time, but they can still have a big impact on the episode with just one scene. When Ross plays the bagpipes, Phoebe tries to do some kind of vocal harmonizing with him, which results in a screeching sound.
The moment is so well-timed that it makes the episode not only one of Phoebe's funniest, but possibly one of the funniest from the whole series. None of the others want to tell Phoebe it sounds awful, which makes it all the more chucklesome.
The One Where Joey Speaks French
Joey and Phoebe have one of the best friendships in Friends. There's always a mutual love for each other that is quite clearly expressed and the pair constantly have each other's backs. Unfortunately for Phoebe on this occasion, it meant she had to try and help Joey to learn French, which didn't go as smoothly as she thought.
Each character in Friends has many heartwarming quotes. Although the episode shows Phoebe as a good teacher, Joey's inability to learn the language caused her to lose her patience, which wasn't great for Joey but hilarious for audiences. The 2 characters had numerous teaching scenes, which allowed them to work as a comedic double act, with Phoebe contributing massively to the laughs.
The One With All The Resolutions
In another teaching episode for Phoebe, Joey learns to play the guitar. Considering Phoebe actually performs her art in front of people, it would be a fair assumption that she'd know the proper way of playing the instrument. As it turns out, she doesn't even know the names of chords.
The hilarity ensues for this episode when Phoebe explains how she re chords, basing the names of them off of what her hand looks like when she plays. Even better, she talks to Joey as if she invented the guitar and how to play, again with confidence in her own ability. Classic Phoebe.
The One With Rachel's Dream
As wonderful as it is that Phoebe is so unique and confident in who she is, it doesn't always suit what her five friends are doing in their own lives. Upon attempting to keep customers entertained outside of Monica's restaurant by singing, Monica isn't impressed, explaining that it's a classy place.
The funniest part of the whole debacle is Phoebe thinking that all she needed to do was put on a super fancy dress while singing. Phoebe believes her musical talent is so good, it didn't even occur to her that Monica wanted her to stop, continuing to perform with vigor. Chandler may have many hilarious quotes that prove he is the funniest character, but Phoebe is right up there with him.
