It has been over a year since the first season of the beloved Frieren: Beyond Journey's End concluded, and fans can finally rest easy knowing that news of season 2 will be coming very shortly. One of the best and most popular anime in recent years, the series is going to come back with a bang, covering some of the best content from the source manga.

As confirmed on the official website and X of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, a program titled "Funeral of Frieren" will be streamed on YouTube on March 5, 2025, where news of the anime will be shared. Participating will be Atsumi Tanezaki, voice actor of Frieren, Nobuhiko Okamoto, VA of Himmel, and Kana Ichinose, VA of Fern. While the exact details and subject of the event are unknown, there is a very high probability that the announcement will have something to do with the second season, including hopefully a release window.

Furthermore, the fact that three of the most important cast will be participating in this event obviously means that the news is big and warrants their involvement. It is also common practice in the industry for the voice actors of the main cast to announce a sequel.
