An intriguing From season 3's ending. "Anghkooey" means "," as the children have been trying to get Tabitha and Jade Herrera (David Alpay) to the many past lives they have lived in the Town, including their time as Miranda (Sarah Booth) and Christopher (Thom Payne).

Among the From season 4 will be different from all the seasons that have preceded it now that Tabitha and Jade know these game-changing truths about themselves and the Town's history. Nevertheless, there may still be more to learn about "Anghkooey."

"Anghkooey" Is Actually A Combination Of The Words "Anchor Aweigh" – From Fan Theory Explained

A From's lighthouse and Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) talking about getting a boat before he and his family became trapped in the Town. From is intentional about its smallest details, such as Jade wearing one of Miranda's bracelets in the first episode, and the boat-related details may be foreshadowing the other meaning of "Anghkooey."

From’s Pilot Episode Subtly Foreshadowed Season 3’s Biggest Tabitha & Jade Twist

From's first episode features a subtle detail that hinted at the game-changing Tabitha and Jade plot twist revealed in the season 3 finale.

Game of Thrones is used as a point of reference for the theory, specifically the heartbreaking scene in which the meaning of Hodor's name is revealed to be a combination of "hold the door." "Anghkooey" could be a similar meshing of words into something that sounds unfamiliar. If this theory pans out, "Anghkooey" could mean "" and "anchors aweigh," with both meanings being important to helping From's cast of characters figure out how to escape the Town.

Boyd's Boat Story & Anghkooey Being "Anchor Away" Would Hint At How To Escape Fromville

Could A Boat Be The Way Out?

Fatima and Elgin stand on the dock at the Brundles in From season 2

In season 1, episode 8, "Broken Windows, Open Doors," Boyd talks about how much he wants a boat, and his wife, Abby (Lisa Ryder), surprises him with a key to his very own boat. Unfortunately, Boyd does not get to enjoy this gift, as it is after this surprise that he, Abby, and their son, Ellis (Corteon Moore) encounter the tree in the road. A boat could come back into play, though, and be the key to finally escaping the Town for good, especially if "Anghkooey" also means "anchors aweigh."

There is the lake known as the Brundles, but there needs to be more of a substantial body of water that could connect to the outside world.

Perhaps Boyd and other characters can escape the Town via a boat, with the lighthouse potentially helping them find a way out. Boyd has a boat key, but he does not have the boat Abby was planning to give to him, which requires a vessel to still be found. Another significant obstacle is that there is no confirmed body of water in the Town or the surrounding forest that could facilitate an escape. There is the lake known as the Brundles, but there needs to be more of a substantial body of water that can connect to the outside world.

From's Children Speaking A Different Fictional Language Still Makes Very Little Sense

The Town's Other Supernatural Beings Do Not Speak This Language

Another intriguing element of this theory is how it mentions the "Anghkooey" children being the only ones to speak a different language from everyone else in the Town. Even From's monsters, who have been around longer than the children, are only heard speaking English. This is also true for the Man in Yellow (Douglas E. Hughes) and the Boy in White (Vox Smith), who are seemingly the Town's ancient entities. It is strange that the children appear to be the Town's only supernatural beings speaking another language.

From has already been renewed for season 4.

The children's language may be what was originally spoken in the Town, with English only being spoken as new individuals became trapped over the years. However, the children's language still seems like a strange detail. There is more weight to the "anchors aweigh" theory if "Anghkhooey" is not from another language and if it is instead just a combination of English words. The theory may not come to , with "Anghkooey" just meaning "," but there is always a possibility of additional meaning in a series as mysterious as From.
