Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 7, "These Fragile Lives."
This victory may not be as permanent as it seemed to be, as Julie revealed to Elgin (Nathan D. Simmons) in From season 3, episode 5 that she still hears screaming in her head sometimes and Randall has continued to see visions of cicadas. As Randall moves into the clinic and Julie prepares to stay there for the night, the two characters cross paths again. When Julie reveals that she never learned to drive, Randall takes one of the cars and gives her a driving lesson, but their carefree adventure quickly takes a sinister turn.
Julie & Randall Are Mysteriously Led Back To The Dungeon Ruins In From Season 3, Episode 7
The Cicada Visions Returned For This Reason
Due to the overwhelming number of cicadas he is seeing that are attacking him, Randall panics, stops the car, and stumbles into the woods. When Julie goes after him, they both end up at the edge of the dungeon ruins. These are not the actual dungeons where Julie, Randall, and Marielle (Kaelen Ohm) were when they were possessed. However, the dungeons usually appear as ruins when an individual enters or exits them, as Boyd did in season 2.

10 Best Theories About From Season 3
From has created many intricate mysteries, leading to several compelling theories about what is really happening in the Town in season 3.
In "These Fragile Lives," Randall and Julie leave the ruins behind as it will be dark soon, and they do not want to be outside of Town and in the woods when From's monsters emerge. If they had stayed longer and walked directly into the ruins, it seems likely that they would have found themselves in dungeons once more. It is as if Randall's cicada hallucinations were pushing him and Julie to that location, which still exists despite Boyd smashing the music box.
Why Julie & Randall Get Strange Feelings At The Dungeon Ruins
The Music Box Monster Is Back
Julie and Randall's strange feelings are a way of them sensing the power of the dungeon ruins and the Music Box Monster. What Boyd did to the music box appears to be temporary rather than permanent, as the Music Box Monster still has a hold over both Julie and Randall. They were able to walk away from the ruins for now without being consumed by horrifying visions, but it seemed like only a matter of time until the Music Box Monster plagued them once more.
Boyd first found the dungeon after going into a faraway tree during the From season 1 finale.
The Music Box Monster's hold over Randall is seemingly disconnected from the monsters that come out every night. Randall was already seeing visions of the cicadas again before the monsters mauled his face in From season 3, episode 4. Randall has a way of causing problems, but even he is prudent enough to leave the ruins behind, sensing the dangerous power they carry, and that it is best to walk away and avoid another instance of being tormented by monstrous forces.
From Season 3 Hints The Music Box Monster Could Attack Julie, Randall & Marielle Again
It's Not Over For Them Yet
Whether it is taking time to regenerate or to strike at the opportune moment, the Music Box Monster appears poised to attack Julie, Randall, and Marielle again. The malevolent entity only targeted specific From characters in season 2. If the Music Box Monster fully reemerges in season 3's final episodes, it will be intriguing to see if it only affects Julie, Randall, and Marielle, or if those who were unaffected in season 2 will also be attacked this time.

Why Randall Sees The Cicadas Again In From Season 3 & What Their Return Means
In From season 3, Randall is grappling with the aftermath of the music box's possession — and that includes seeing hostile cicadas again and again.
The collective trauma they experienced has brought Julie, Randall, and Marielle closer together in season 3. This is part of the reason why Julie and Randall are able to understand each other and become friends and why Marielle empathizes with Randall and invites him to live in the clinic. The strengths of these bonds may prove to be of further importance if the Music Box Monster attacks all three of them again. While they survived in season 2, others before them were killed by the power of the Music Box Monster.
It would be particularly tragic for Julie to die while her mother, Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno), is trying to save the "Anghkooey" children and is occupied with trying to solve the Town's mysteries
There have already been many deaths in From season 3, but Julie, Randall, or Marielle could die next. While any of their deaths would be a difficult loss, it would be particularly tragic for Julie to die while her mother, Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno), is trying to save the "Anghkooey" children and is occupied with trying to solve the Town's mysteries. From has a penchant for twisting the knife in an especially cruel way, which puts Julie, Randall, and Marielle all in danger.

From is a series revolving around a mysterious American town that ensnares newcomers, forcing its inhabitants to maintain order and find an escape amidst nighttime perils from the surrounding forest. The residents face threats from terrifying creatures emerging after sunset, complicating their struggle for survival.
