Both are flooded with memories from their previous lives at that moment, as they realize that Tabitha was Miranda and Jade was Christopher in a past life. When Miranda died, the town’s forces reincarnated her as Tabitha, with the same being true for Jade and Christopher. However, there were many versions of them before Miranda and Christopher, with those reincarnations also failing to save From’s “Anghkooey” children.

The notion that Tabitha was once Miranda and Jade was once Christopher finally explains why they have so many story similarities. Tabitha and Miranda made the same bracelet for Jim and Henry because past versions of them had crafted that exact accessory across several lives. Tabitha notes that she’s made that bracelet “so many times,” indicating that each reincarnation before herself and Miranda would have made that for their husbands. Therefore, Tabitha and Jade continue to be brought back in new forms so that they can succeed where their past incarnations failed. Somehow, Tabitha and Jade have to save the children, which Miranda, Christopher, and all versions dating back to their original forms as one of the “Anghkooey” children’s parents couldn’t accomplish.
