What This Means For FUBAR Season 2
The Show Looks To Be Adopting A Similar Approach To Season 1
FUBAR season 1 worked well due to its fun, irreverent premise, strong cast, good writing, and a spring/summer release date that made it a streaming success. It seems that season 2 will be taking a similar approach, with a June release date that sets it up to be one of the Netflix hits of the summer. The feel-good factor is bound to be high, and the show's easy-watching nature should see it perform well in its sophomore season, especially with the addition of Carrie-Anne Moss, who will do a lot to strengthen the cast of FUBAR.
While FUBAR may not stack up against some of Schwarzenegger's comedy movies as a vehicle for showcasing his action and comedy chops, as well as star power, it seems to be doing a pretty good job, and season 2 can easily improve on that.
Aside from Schwarzenegger, who is a legend on the big screen, Moss is a bona fide movie star due to her stint in The Matrix franchise, and her presence will bring range, depth, and diversity to the show. It may even be the case that she is required to do a lot of heavy lifting in season 2. Based on the photos, it is already confirmed that she and Schwarzenegger will share at least one scene together. It is also clear that the show will look to remain very much an ensemble piece, but there are likely to be strong pairings and subplots that will help the season tick along.
Our Take On FUBAR Season 2's Chances Of Success
Witty Writing & Schwarzenegger's Star Power Could Make The Series A Long-Term Success
FUBAR is a show that debuted well, and it will look to build on that success for season 2. The images suggest that the new episodes are going to be fun-filled and stylish once again, and Moss is certainly going to be a powerful addition, as well as an impressive screen presence. While FUBAR may not stack up against some of Schwarzenegger's comedy movies as a vehicle for showcasing his action and comedy chops, as well as star power, it seems to be doing a pretty good job, and season 2 can easily improve on that.
