The battery capacity hasn't changed, with both coming with 5,000mAh batteries. It also doesn't charge any faster at 25W, and buyers have to purchase a charger separately as one isn't included in the box. The Galaxy A54 comes with One UI 5.1 based on Android 13 and will receive four OS upgrades and five years of security updates, the same as the Galaxy A53. That said, Samsung's long software commitment remains impressive, especially since these devices are affordable mid-rangers.

The more build, sharper display, and powerful chipset are notable upgrades for the Galaxy A54, but they come at a literal cost. While the Galaxy A53 starts at €450/£400, the Galaxy A54 5G goes up to a slightly more expensive €490/£449. However, the good news for buyers in the U.S. is that the price tag remains $450.
