This year’s Game Awards showcase and promised that his staff has been working all year long to provide fans with “something very special” when The Game Awards 2022 airs all over the world this December.

The Game Awards 2022 Will Be Held On December 8

In addition to the expected livestream, this year’s Game Awards event will be shown in select IMAX Live theaters in the US, Canada, and the UK - though viewers will have to pay to watch the same ad-filled stream on a massive movie screen. As for the show itself, many signs point to February’s Elden Ring being the game most likely to win Game of the Year, especially since the God of War: Ragnarök could be released right after the cutoff date to be eligible for the show. Other games likely to be nominated at this year’s Game Awards livestream include Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Horizon Forbidden West, and even the PS5 remake of The Last of Us that is currently slated to arrive next month.

It is truly anyone’s guess which previously released titles will be honored at The Game Awards 2022, or what future titles could be revealed. However, it has been confirmed that this year’s big gaming award ceremony will be held on Thursday, December 8, and it promises to be a night to in the ever-expanding world of video games.
