Game Of Thrones ended in 2019, but fans are still crazy about the show. That's understandable since it aired for eight years and it became one of the most important series of the decade. Many people followed it religiously, and feel very strongly about the characters, whether they are heroes or villains.

It's very difficult to portray a good villain, but the ones on this list are some of the best. They were a crucial part of Game of Thrones and have been a big part of what made the series great, no matter their fate.

Tywin Lannister - Killed By Tyrion

This villain is a clear example of the cold and calculating kind. He's the Lord of Casterly Rock, Shield of Lannisport, and Warden of the West. The actor who had the difficult task of portraying him was Charles Dance, and he did an amazing job. His terrible fate was to die by the hands of his son, Tyrion Lannister, for sleeping with the woman he loved.

Joffrey Baratheon - Poisoned

His quick temper and sometimes sick behavior made Joffrey one of the most hated villains from the show. He was the eighteenth king to rule from the Iron Throne, and he was portrayed by Jack Gleeson. Aside from making people despise him, his sadistic nature also made him an interesting character. Even so, no one was sad when he was poisoned.

Cersei Lannister - Buried Alive

Cersei Lannister was the twentieth ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, and it was Lena Headey who portrayed this Queen. When talking about this villain, maybe the thing that stands out the most is the motivation behind her evil actions. Yes, she wants power and domination, but the love for her family also plays a very important role. The fate of this glorious villain was to be buried alive by rubble while Daenerys set King's Landing ablaze.

Walder Frey - Tricked By Arya

This villain was the Lord of the Crossing and the head of House Frey. He was played by David Bradley and he was a very despicable, yet not very serious villain. He wouldn't think twice before betraying someone if it served for his benefit. The heroine that defeated this villain was Arya Stark, who tricks him until he can't escape and slits his throat.

The High Sparrow - Wildfire Explosion

This religious leader was portrayed by Jonathan Pryce. He was a very serious and threatening villain, and maybe his main personality trait was that he fought for what he believed was right and not just for the sake of cruelty and power. This is what kept the viewers interested, and no matter how much they hated him they couldn't keep their eyes off him. He was killed by Cersei when she blew up the Great Sept with wildfire.

Randyll Tarly - Caught In The Fire

Randyll Tarly, played by James Faulkner, had a big impact on the show despite only appearing in a few episodes. He was the Lord of Horn Hill and the head of House Tarly. He was feared before he was even shown on screen, and his wrongdoings were vital for the plot. He died when he got caught in Drogon's fire.

Meryn Trant - Ambushed By Arya

The actor behind this character is Ian Beattie, and he did a great job making people hate him. He wasn't a very brave knight, and definitely not a loyal one. Meryn Trant was the classic villain with no morals, remorse, or brains. All of this made it very easy for Arya to ambush him and end his life, finally getting her revenge.

Anton Lesser played a former maester stripped from his title because of his unethical practices. His interest in improving his craft was probably the main motivation behind his evil and was certainly a force to be reckoned with. He was killed brutally by Gregor, who smashed his head in the last season.

Janos Slynt - Executed

Janos Slynt, portrayed by Dominic Carter, was the commander of the King's Landing City Watch. He didn't have any interesting motivations behind his shameful actions, and he would do what any ruler asked of him as long as there was something in it for himself. No one was sad when he got himself killed. He insulted Jon Snow and was executed because of it.

Gregor Clegane - Fell To His Death

Gregor Clegane, "The Mountain," was one of the most feared villains in the show. Many actors went through this role, but the main one was Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson. Ultimately, it was his violent nature that sealed his fate. While fighting Sandor in a duel, they both fell to their deaths from the Red Keep.
