Out of the many houses of Game of Thrones, the Night's Watch is completely its own type of family. Bound together by vows rather than familial blood, the of the Night's Watch choose to be a family, rather than being born into it. Many had been disregarded from their birth families and have been brought to the Wall; therefore, many characters are vastly different from each other with varying motives and goals born from the backgrounds of which they came from.

Jon Snow: Neutral Good
Jon Snow is a neutral good character in the Night's Watch. He does what he believes to be the best thing for the cause, always. Snow attempts to follow as many of the Night Watch's rules as possible, but if doing the best thing for the survival of the Watch includes breaking a rule or two (such as when he brought Wildlings into the settlement), so be it.
Samwell Tarly: Lawful Good
Samwell Tarly, Jon Snow's best friend, is an honorable character. Though timid and not much of a fighter, early is a fiercely loyal friend. He does what he considers to be the right thing and hold himself to exceedingly high ethical standards. In a world on the brink of lawlessness, Samwell Tarly is a lawful good character.
Mance Rayder: Lawful Good
Mance Rayder, a former member of the Night's Watch, is a lawful good character by his moral com. Though he defected from the Watch, Rayder leads with understanding and meets conflict with an even-temper, as seen when discovering the assassination plot. He sticks to a code of rules to be the best leader he can be, and Rayder also works toward the overall good of his followers.
Benjen Stark: Chaotic Good
A dedicated member of the Night's Watch, Benjen Stark is known for the advice he gives Jon Snow. In a conversation with Bran and Meera beyond the wall, Benjen claims that he will do what he can't or as long as he can to help save Westeros from the Night King's army. Benjen follows through with this proclamation when he saves Jon Snow's life by distracting undead wights through means of self-sacrifice.
Maester Aemon: Lawful Good
Escorted to the Wall with Brynden Rivers, Maester Aemon is one of the oldest living of the Night's Watch. He refused the Iron Throne and does not seek to poses any power besides what can be found in books. Over one hundred years old Aemon possesses great wisdom and serves as a lawful good mentor to Samwell Tarly.
Jeor Mormont: Lawful Good
The character that bestowed Longclaw into Jon Snow is Jeor Mormont. Overall, this character is lawful good, because is he so dedicated to doing what is right an following the law that he cuts dies with his dishonored son, Jorah. Jeor also meets his untimely end due to a mutiny of his men. This mutiny was incited when Jeor tried to stop one of his men from harassing a woman in Craster's Keep. Jeor deserved better.
Olly: Chaotic Neutral
A farm boy that fled to the Night's Watch after his parents were murdered by Wildlings, Olly was made a personal steward of Jon Snow's. When Jon goes against the laws of the Watch to bring Wildlings into the settlement, Olly is disgusted with the Lord Commander and conspired with other fo the Watch.
Known for murdering Jon Snow in the ill-fated mutiny, Olly proved to be an antagonist, despite audiences (and Jon Snow) giving him the benefit of doubt.
Night King: Chaotic Evil
The Night Knight is the infamous overarching villain of the Game of Thrones series. In his quest to reach King's Landing and overthrow humanity, the Night King killed many, many innocent people, without regard for any laws or consequences. This former member of the Night's Watch has completely turned against his men to fulfill his quest.
Brynden Rivers: True Neutral
Bryden Rivers is commonly known as the Three-Eyed-Raven. He is the ultimate neutral character of the Game of Thrones show and mentors Bran to be able to take his place later in the series. the Nature of the Three-Eyed-Raven is to be able to see the past, present, and future, and to make informed decisions regarding the fate of the realm. His main purpose was to find Bran Stark, and through that quest, vBrynden remained a true neutral.
Eddison Tollett: Lawful Good
Tollett is a loyal follower of Jon Snow's. With that said, he's not afraid to disagree with Snow's decisions, especially when they conflict with the laws of the Night's Watch. Since he vowed himself to the Watch at the impressionable age of fifteen, Eddison Tollett firmly believes in the laws of the Watch and follows them, unless forced not to.
