How did each of the characters on Arya's kill list fare in Arya Stark was one of the central protagonists in HBO's Game of Thrones, but her life was one of trauma and tragedy. After finally finding someone who would teach her to fight, Arya was forced on the run after watching her father get beheaded. Later finding her mother and brother dead following the Red Wedding, Arya devotes her life to revenge.

Continuously uttering a series of names to herself, Arya resolves to kill those who wronged her, from heavy-handed brutes to the Queen Regent herself. After learning under the Faceless Men, Arya becomes a pocket-sized killing machine, and even though her training attempts to strip away all personality, she desperately holds onto her grudges and doggedly checks names off her list through to Game of Thrones' final season. Some targets Arya kills herself, some she lets live, and some she lets fate handle.

Ilyn Payne - Not like he had any say in the matter, but Payne it was who swung the sword down on Ned Stark's neck in season 1, earning him a spot on Arya's list. Payne had to be written out of Game of Thrones when actor, Wilko Johnson, was diagnosed with cancer. Though his storyline was forgotten, Johnson thankfully overcame his illness.

Rorge - A minor character in Game of Thrones, but an unpleasant one nonetheless. Rorge threatens to do something nasty to Arya with her sword, but she encounters him again in season 4 while travelling with The Hound. After finding out his name, she stabs him.

Polliver - This Lannister soldier had already incurred Arya's wrath by stealing Needle and using it to kill her friend Lommy, but it was after watching him torture prisoners at Harrenhal that Arya added Polliver to the list. Arya meets Polliver by chance at an inn and takes the opportunity to kill him in the same manner he killed Lommy.

Joffrey Baratheon - Surely near the top of Arya's list was Joffrey, who ordered the execution of Ned and tormented her sister, Sansa. By the time Arya was skilled enough to get near the King of Westeros, he'd already been assassinated by House Tyrell.

Meryn Trant - Ser Meryn was one of the nastier knights under Baratheon employ and murdered Arya's swordfighting teacher, Syrio Forel. Arya finds him hiring underage girls in Braavos and promptly cuts his throat in season 5.

Tywin Lannister - The mastermind of the Red Wedding, Tywin more than deserved Arya's hatred, but despite getting within stabbing distance at Harrenhal, this was pre-Faceless Arya. Fortunately, being a ruthless patriarch had earned Tywin many enemies, and he was famously killed by a crossbow-wielding Tyrion while dropping a log.

Walder Frey - Over a petty squabble, Frey had betrayed the Starks and arranged the notorious Red Wedding. Arya gets him in season 6 after returning from her Faceless Man training, posing as a serving girl and killing several other of House Frey to boot.

Melisandre - The Red Witch abducted Gendry and had her wicked way with him. But while Arya initially sought revenge against Melisandre, the pair fought on the same side in the Battle of Winterfell. Ultimately, Arya didn't kill Melisandre, maybe because she tried to redeem herself, perhaps because she intended to take her own life, or possibly because Gendry himself didn't seem to hold a grudge against her.

Beric Dondarion & Thoros of Myr - The Brotherhood Without Banners were complicit in Melisandre abducting Gendry, and Arya wanted their heads. Both men would redeem themselves by fighting against the Night King, and both died doing so. Beric perishes while protecting Arya, earning her forgiveness.

Cersei Lannister - One character Arya certainly didn't forgive was Cersei, a perennial name on the infamous kill list. Arya maybe hoped to strike the killing blow when Daenerys invaded King's Landing, but never got the opportunity since the Mother of Dragons went rogue and brought the whole city down. Cersei was killed by falling debris, much to the audience's disappointment.

The Mountain & The Hound - Both Clegane brothers were on Arya's list; The Mountain for torturing people at Harrenhal and The Hound for killing one of Arya's friends in Winterfell. Arya and The Hound form a grudging partnership while on the run from the Lannisters, and her attitude towards him softens, albeit after a few botched assassination attempts. Arya wisely decides to let the Clegane brothers take each other out in Game of Thrones' final season, sparing her a fight with The Mountain and the pain of killing a friend.
