Game of Thrones: Legends Mixes Puzzles With Team Building Strategy
Players Form Alliances With Some Of Westeros' Biggest Names
Game of Thrones: Legends puts players in the role of a Westerosi leader, forming their own House of Westeros and tasks them with assembling a team of champions as they attempt to compete against rival alliances in tournaments and special events to gain control of the Iron Throne. As the gameplay footage showed, players will engage in combat through a series of mix-3 type puzzles, racking up combos that can enable them to use special moves based on their team's skill set, with players having to strategically pair their characters with deadly weapons to deal different types of damage.
The trailer ended with the reveal that pre-registration has opened on both the Apple App Store and Google Play. Players are encouraged to complete the game's first chapter within the first seven days of its launch to unlock special in-game rewards. These rewards include early access to Robert Baratheon, the seventeenth ruler of the Seven Kingdoms and the first king of the Baratheon dynasty, along with "a king's ransom of bonus loot."
While it has had its soft launch already, with some players already being hands-on with the title, with these new perks and plenty more content in store, Zynga promises plenty of reasons to jump in and fight to claim Westeros when Game of Thrones: Legends launches on July 25. By this point, House of the Dragon's second season should also be well underway, as it premieres on June 16 and will be airing its episodes weekly until August 4.
