Version 1.4 of Genshin Impact is releasing next week, and it will feature some Banner reruns, a new playable character, and some exciting new events. One of these new events is called Hangout Events: Series 1, which will allow players to go on fun excursions with some of their favorite characters. So, which characters in Genshin Impact can players actually date?
Some in-game character chapters already feel a lot like dates. Lisa's chapter in Genshin Impact, for instance, has players ing her around Monstadt for dinner, buying flowers, and other date-like activities. This part of Lisa's story proved popular with fans, which is likely why miHoYo is adding in a new event that feels a whole lot like a dating sim.
Getting to spend more time in-game with characters can be a huge draw for the millions of Genshin Impact fans out there. On the surface, the Hangout Events series is basically a dating sim, although miHoYo has stated these dates are nonromantic. Instead, each chapter available in Series 1 will shed new light on a character's background and hopefully let players understand them a bit better. Still, players will be able to go grab food and tour the city with some of their favorite characters, which certainly feels like a date. So, which characters are available for the first series of Genshin Impact's Hangout Events?
Genshin Impact 1.4: Characters Available In Hangout Events
In Hangout Events: Series 1 in Genshin Impact, the following four characters are available to go on dates with: Bennett, Chongyun, Noelle, and Barbara. Each character will have their own interactions and set activities, and multiple endings will be available. So, while players may not technically be allowed to romance these characters, it's still a great way to spend more time with them.
Like the other events confirmed for Genshin Impact 1.4, the Hangout Events series will let players earn rewards as well. Players who unlock the real endings will earn Hangout Memory illustrations, and they'll have a chance to complete multiple endings for even more rewards. The first four characters in the Hangout Events series - Noelle, Barbara, Bennett, and Chongyun - make a lot of sense. None of them are necessarily the most popular characters in Genshin Impact, but they each have their own loyal followings. It's a great way for miHoYo to test the waters before introducing more popular characters like Diluc into the series.
While the Hangout Events in Genshin Impact may not be romantic, these little dates are a great way for fans to spend more time with characters they love. It should be a great new addition to the current content once the event series arrives as part of the Version 1.4 update.
